So a quick update on my issues with my kit. Checked ask charge pipes and intercooler pipes that I could reach without removing the bumper as I haven't had time due to work. maf sensor is clean and vertical. Reflashed carb tune to be sure. Still will not start. Forgive the awful sound effect but it has the slow vrrr, vrrr of the engine trying to turn but does not fire. Will remove the front bumper and check intercooler piping Sun. Again showed no symptoms prior to dying just cut off immediately after a right turn in 2nd partial throttle. I know I haven't checked all recommend sources yet but if this narrows it down for anyone I'd be grateful for any more input. Also I can push the lower ic piping thru the grill and they "feel" tight but can't thoroughly check them yet. Thanks again for all they help. This is a great community of car enthusiasts

I have had the engine oil cooler on order since the last of April. Any idea when these would ship? I had the JRSC installed last summer and would like to do some track days.

I'm looking to add some bling to the engine bay, but I'm worried about fitment with the kit. Anybody using different pulley covers, filter, etc.? I'm thinking about the Perrin cone filter or Cusco pulley covers myself. The Perrin brake cozy to match maybe, as well.

Filters, you can use a different filter if you'd like, as long as it "fits" or you make it fit. |

Just want to throw in my 2cents here: Have had a JR kit on my BRZ for 20K miles already. Car runs absolutely flawlessly. It has been a ZERO maintenance modification. The car is basically what it SHOULD have been like from the factory, with seamless power, no torque dip in the mid range, no strange noises, no headaches, no problems.
The car is daily driven. I get better gas mileage now than I did stock (avg between 26-27mpg with mixed southern california traffic driving). This is, quite simply, the best modification I have ever made on any car I have ever owned (and I am 40 yrs old and have been modding every car I had since I was 16), with ZERO downside. |

Had the car for 15K miles before kit, 20K since putting it on. It's ABSOLUTELY seamless. Better than stock in every way. Better on initial throttle, better on part throttle, no lag, no hiccups, no dips.

My experience has been the same. Very balanced and fun all around. MPGs have dropped to 24 from 27 when I was NA though. JROC also keeps my oil temps at around 195-210 degrees for spirited street driving in 105 degree Vegas heat. |

I have had the kit on my car for 100 miles with the CARB tune. While driving it during the break in period it already put a smile on my face everytime I put my foot on the gas. Although I didn't really open it up during the break in period. Just paranoid that I'll get an oil leak from the oil cooler or reservoir leak. Took it to work this morning and opened it up to get on the freeway and it just put a smile on my face again. Very happy with this kit and the CARB tune. I highly recommend this kit to anyone looking for a supercharger. |
