Ferodo DS2500 brake pads on track

Hi,

I have Ferodo DS2500 with my AP Racing sprint kit and I'm wondering how those will do on the road course?
Previously, I was using Carbotech XP10 with OEM brakes without issues for 25 minutes sessions.

Thanks!

I've done 30minute stints on the stock pads on Toyo R888 without issues besides wear. I'm sure the DS2500 will do fine.

That's a pretty substantial downgrade in pad, but an upgrade in heat dissipation. It's difficult to gauge, but my inclination is that you'll want to get better pads for your Sprint kit.

Your current setup has *less* capacity for spikes in pad heat, but has *more* heat sink mass (rotor) and heat dissipation capacity (surface area). It'll depend heavily on your experience and track layout.
