Traded mine in. Happy man.

-thin fuckin' paint (spent $700 on clear bra on bumper, 1/3 hood, side mirrors and corners of fenders. hood had a few chips. driver side fender paint chipped off)
-rattles (everywhere!)
-easily dinged up (checked car again before i left with my new love and seen 4 dings)
-condensation in taillights (a couple times when cold - NEVER drove in winter, just warming up car to keep everything fresh. didnt bother me as much)
-wasn't a fan of the subbie motor. was never a fan of anything subbie anyways.

Otherwise the cheap fuckin' interior pieces didn't bother me. It was a fun car while it lasted! 3500 miles later, BYE!

Overall, happy with the car.
Most of the issues that bother me can either be fixed and I haven't gotten around to getting it taken care of or I plan on modifying at some point (just wish that I had more disposable income to take care of them).

Design-wise, the cup holder / armrest assembly sucks. If I am hustling to work and have to stop fast, my coffee and whole cup holder assembly flies out of its position forward. Fortunately for me, I now have a leak proof coffee travel mug because my previous one resulted in coffee all over my shifter boot and e-brake boot. It should click into place and be deeper.

A slight bit more power (stock) is what this car deserves. 240 HP and about 175 lb/ft of torque. How that is achieved is the tricky part, but, would be more in line with what I would consider ideal. Is it a deal breaker for me? Heck, no. But, I would have been more happy with it.

I plan on driving it into the ground if I can.

Im on the ropes about getting one. The price range of a limited BRZ has stiff competition. 15 WRX, 15 STi, Exige, Elise, even the Miata

It's a hard choice. I'm lucky enough to have a 15' WRX and a 13' FRS. For road feel and the pure feel of a sports car/'racecar'; it's hard to beat the FRS(and BRZ if you address the understeer).

That said, I love driving the WRX for day to day stuff, and on the shittier roads. It's intensely confidence inspiring. I found myself driving quickly with a lot of confidence when throwing the car into turns and highway ramps. I can't wait to take it into the mountains on some of the roads I take the FRS on.

They're two very different cars that do very different things. Their biggest thing they have in common is the engine block and they're fantastic drivers. If you're looking for awd, to power out of corners, and dust people at stop lights, you should go for the WRX. If you want amazing road feel, a great driving position, and an overall more intimate connection with machine and road, go for a twin.

EDIT: I ignored the other options because...

Lotus's. You're talking used. So that's generally a different ball game if you want to dig into maintenance, etc.

Miata. Well, the new ones coming and we don't know the engine for sure yet... but I wouldn't get a current gen over the BRZ/WRX.

Chassis is amazing, engine is a weak pos and the high compression did nothing but make boosting it dangerous

Very satisfied with the car. Everything is intuitive, feels great. That being said I've done a lot of little improvements to get it exactly where I want it. As everyone knows it could use some more torque but the OFT helped power-wise.
The only thing that bugs the living shit out of me is all of the rattles in the interior. Must keep reminding myself "budget sports car, no sound deadening".

I just got my Vortech Supercharger delivered to me yesterday.

The question is !! Now, I have the BPB intake manifold spacer from Crawford mounted down in my car; Do I have to remove it before installing the supercharger or just go ahead and install it ? Since, the BPB Crawford really improved the car performance both throttle response and hp. I feel that I would be such a waste to remove the BPB Crawford.

Very satisfied with my car. It's a different opinion when you have someone who like fast and track cars. Where I usually purchase econo boxes like civic sedans and rav4's all my life. I really appreciate the car. It might not be fast enough for some but plenty for me

Smile exactly one year

I got my FR-S series 10 12 months ago.
I immediately added 4 things; the GPS module,
a built in radar detector, Michelin Pilot Super Sport
summer tires and E-85 OFT flash (running E-85 only 11 months so far)


I have had many different cars and this one is the most fun to drive.


I STILL ENJOY ROMPING AROUND TOWN & TRACK WITH IT & if I had to do it over again I would still get the same car with the possibility of a black edition solely for the heated seats, but hardly a deal breaker.


Still get lots of "nice car man" comments around gas stations and parking lots.


I'm a happy Scion owner

I had the 15 brz series blue for about 4 months and my thoughts are:

The Good:
Amazing steering feel
Very fun to drive
This baby loves corners and it feels amazing
Nice boxer engine sound
A sexy exterior (The BRZ/FRS is a 10, a keeper)
Gets lots of compliments (car guys, woman, car whores, etc)
Comfortable interior (at least for two people only)
Good MPG on average
Good for Mods
Its made by the best Japanese manufacturer (Subaru)

The Bad:
The paint sucks (its a shame since the car is sexy af)
Sometimes i do feel that i need more power (Usually on straight lines)
The Audio system sucks
Crickets produced by the high pressure pump (this one bothers me most since the car looks so sexy but not sexy while producing those cricket sounds)
