CRZ is shit, looks good but omg no way a sports car. Had my car at the dealer the other day and looked at one while walking by, not impressed at all. That car woulda rocked hard if it had the Civic Si's engine tossed in it, coulda easily went over 30mpg with that engine in it and blew away cars!!! But once again Honda oversteps what it thinks the people want and builds another fail hybrid in an attempt to steal some of Toyotas thunder. I guess they didnt get the memo on the sales of the Accord hybrid, Civic Hybrid, and Insight! haha Lets toss one more hybrid crap car at em and see if they bite! So sad but Honda is really dead on its feet living out its 90s success.

The CR-Z is an absolute piece of shit and Honda has lost their minds. I drove one here in town and pulled up in my S2000 to meet with a salesperson. He made a comment about me trading in my S for the CR-Z and I just laughed at him. I pretty much told him I would have to be smoking some good ish to want to trade my S in for that turd. However, I don't think it'd be a bad DD but definitely not a "sports" car.

The CR-Z is not a sports car, it's a sporty hybrid. Considering most hybrids are slugs on wheels the CR-Z is peppy in comparison. And like diesels they both have big price premiums over regular gasoline engines, the payback comes when you drive it a long time or when you resell it. There are Gen1 Insights with 200k miles.
This car is for DailyDrivers who don't want a boring appliance. The CR-Z can get mid 40's MPG for a tank with a 50 MPG tank on a good week. 30's if you push it. That's comparable to a Prius but the Prius is more expensive, bigger, and the driving experience is infamous for being pathetic. The actual 0-60MPH is closer to mid 8's with 6spd, mid 9's with CVT. You all are wasting your time bashing this car. You might as well bash minivans or econoboxes. |

Mugen Honda CR-Z

Maybe it's just the angle. But that thing looks fucking ugly.

Yup - they couldnt have done a much worse job on the whole car - plus, i severely doubt it will be cheaper than the FT86

The CR-Zed is ugly even in stock form! There is nothing Mugen can do to make it look somewhat decent.

^Nice paint job for a show car, but that generally looks like crap to me too. Nice business under the hood though.
And regarding the Mugen version, it's not the angle. ![]() Agreed! I've only seen one CR-Z that looked remotely interesting. unfortunately, it's the kind of car that is stuck on my permanent ugly list. It can't be helped. Honda needs to fix the proportions on it for the 2nd gen version.
