I wonder how much suspension tuning could've been an issue.
Typically, hitting a crest in a softly-sprung car results in that uncomfortable negative-G feeling, and traction does suffer if you're going fast enough...

Sure you can.

  1. Jack up car
  2. Remove wheel
  3. Remove coilover
  4. Hit dipshit in head with coilover
  5. Reinstall coilover and tire
  6. Lower car
  7. Drive away

Now, having analyzed that, this is a big, heavy car. The suspension is probably too soft for really aggressive driving (true of virtually all production cars — even performance ones — that the marketing people want to sell to mom and pop). Once it gets squirrelly, it would be very difficult to save it. The best option would have been to mow over the fence on the inside of the corner and stop in the weeds, but this is completely against most driver's natural tendencies.

Why has no one mentioned the poor trees that were hurt by the crash? Pamala Glover would be quite angry (I couldn't find a clip where she says "I love trees," but here is the character anyway :

I love how people here can blame the cars poor handling for this kind of thing when it corners so much better than the frs. If this thing cant turn, what does the frs do?

The twins are more straight-line momentum cars.

Why do you claim that it corners than a twin?

Do you have anything to back-up your statement? Have you driven a hellcat?

Just data from the skid pad, figure 8, braking distances and such. All cars handle fine. People aren't wrecking minivans. These cars get crashed because of power, not handling.

I don't disagree, but I will say the suspension and handeling was not thought about as much as the BIG NUMBERS when developing the Hellcat.

So I say it is the dissonance between power and handeling in the hellcat that people refer to when they say "the hellcat doesn't handle well".

I can go for that.
