I think it's great. Definitely a big step up from stock. Only issue I have with it is that the hardware buttons don't register sometimes. Requires me to press the button a few more times. I'm so used to it though and it usually works after I press the button a second or third time.

It's not the fastest CPU, but it does fine for the car. Also, you have to keep clearing out the downloaded apk's because it complains about not having storage after a few installs. No idea why this happens even when there's plenty of overall storage space available. Mating this to an OEM Audio+ reference system this weekend. Will provide feedback then. Good luck if something goes wrong with it... It's been nearly 2 months of email tech support for me. They won't replace it. I'm out over $70 in shipping charges to send it back. They promised to pay me back the shipping and later reneged. I'm now going to call my credit card to dispute the charges today... I'm done being a beta tester for them.

Stuff like this is what I'm worried about, if I'm screwed if something goes wrong I may as well go with Eonon G2110. It has DVD support, 4.2.2, and you can change button colors, and its only $299. I just don't know if it will fit the stock dash panel, that's the only thing holding me back.

DVD support and price tag is a big plus. Does anyone know if a square frame double DIN will fit?
Edit: Just found that kits are made to make them fit. I didn't realize the stock radio was oversized double din. I think I'll go Eonon. Last edited by B-R-Z; 11-24-2014 at 12:23 PM. |

Please report back. People still use dvds? I've had dvds in my cars for years and never once used the feature. Didn't use CD either.

I don't, but Id like the option to be able to. Its $200 cheaper, has newer android version, better specs, and ca-fi has flaws so I see no reason to favor it. I'm hoping the Eonon is decent, I'll report back.

Just want to make sure specs are equal, I'd rather have a better unit and use dash kit pieces then a worse unit that fits in like stock.
Edit: I think it will fit as it matches 2 of the same compatible vehicles. I think the G2110 looks a little nicer but if specs match I may go with this one. Last edited by B-R-Z; 11-24-2014 at 05:54 PM. |

Fit-wise, the 86/FR-S/BRZ use the Toyota standard large-size head unit form factor, meaning the "Toyota Universal" version of the Dashlinq4 fits like a glove with only a tiny bit of modification to the mounting brackets (filing down or bending out of the way a certain part on the front of the bracket). |

Optical media in mobile and car audio takes precious screen space, and it's also pretty much useless today with microSD cards going up to 128GB.

A centimeter or so, I can live with that. On the fly throwing a movie in is an option I'd like to have. The screen will be around the size of the factory unit which I'm totally ok with. It's plenty big when your face is within a foot or so from it. I like smaller phone screens too, the "buy this it has a huge screen" doesn't sell me, except on home tvs.
