Warning- cold start sounds aggressive, not at all like normal idle. Calms down @ 27"

Sorry not trying to be a post whore here just want to make sure i add a quality video to compliment the header. Sounds nice, metallic and slight raspy but nice imo. An aftermarket catback will probably add a deeper tone.

Took a couple videos this morning. Cold start, stationary revs, drive by and in cabin driving/WOT.

I'll upload the videos later... Useless post, I know

you have to get rid of that stock muffler. the baffles inside of it cannot deal with a catless header as you can hear from the rear. replace it with a non-baffled muffler (aka a straight through design).

as for the metalic sound from the header itself, every stainless steel catless header makes that noise. the stock header is very good at reducing that metalic rasp noise.

That's awesome, thanks Andrew. How much louder do you think they make the car? Hard to tell via video's. Also are you planning on having it tuned? Would be very interested to see the results with the stock exhaust.

Just a bit louder. Not a huge difference but noticeable. Cold starts are noticeably louder though.
I've never heard my car from outside (except the videos) so I have no idea how much louder it actually is but in the cabin it isn't very loud to me.
I'm running the OFT "off the shelf" tune for now but will be getting a custom tune soon.
Was kind of holding out to see if there was any possibility on the OFT tune mentioned earlier in the thread but I don't think it's happening.

I still want to see a dyno sheet but I am very impressed with this header and pretty much sold on it. Seems like the best designed one for our cars yet.

So my HKS front pipe came in today. The car sounds 125% better. NO rasp what-so-ever. The car sounds like it should have come from the factory. Low grumble, quiet when you want it to be. Cold starts are not that loud at all.

Ptuning headers (coated), motiv over pipe (coated), HKS front pipe (dual resonators), Perrin resonated exhaust

If you want to run catless and not have rasp RUN THE HKS FRONT PIPE

crappy cell phone audio of new exhaust

Nice to hear, I'll be getting my catted motiv so let's see if it has the same positive outcome.
