I called yesterday for BRZ VIN, still no update. Waitlist status. I read on the thread that two more people from FL called and had no luck. Some more weeks to wait and it will be here!!

As soon as anyone from FL has an ETA, let it be known here as either that day or close to it first wave of cars should be arriving at FL dealers.

As I'd posted elsewhere, my First 86 car being delivered to Jacksonville is scheduled for pickup on 5/20, though it will be on display in the showroom for the week beforehand.

^ Sorry for not specifying, but 1st 86ers don't count, as they get the cars on a separate shipment before anyone else.

So why are they showing it for a week before you get it? Just curious.

Heck if I know. Promotion to drum up interest, I'm sure. I didn't bother/forgot to ask them if they were receiving any additional cars in their first shipment. But since the dealer is about 150mi from where I actually live/work, I wouldn't be able to pick it up in the middle of the week anyway. They did tell me no one will be driving it, and it will be roped off from touching.

OK, because I believe this is sort of "against the rules" for the 1st86. They aren't supposed to hold the car. If you can pick it up before then, and want to, might be worth talking to Corporate. It's one thing to hold delivery while its prepped, its a whole other one to hold it for display while the customer that has it ordered waits IMHO.

Any of the FR-S buyers know if a FR-S test drive event will happen in FL?

So far, it seems pretty hush-hush. Weirdest "First Drive" promotion I've ever seen. I even called Scion and they said it was not a "Scion sponsored event" so they didn't know the schedule.

Well she is a BEAUTY!!! That Pearl White is exactly what I want and wow I cannot wait to see the BRZ. Go a weekday so you can take a look inside of the car. I wonder who was a 1st 86 winner that won it and its on display there!

I think its member SpecializedPerformance's!
