Thanks for all the welcomes and good information! The Veloster is a cool little car but my main reason for buying it was outstanding highway fuel economy but that is no longer my main purpose in a car. It's def not a powerful car nor does it handle like it's own rails but it can't be beat for the amount of technology and features you get on it.

It's actually funny Prophecy0 that you mention Landers as I work next door at the Infiniti dealership! I'm actually looking for a manual transmission and am willing to wait until later summer/early Fall as that will give me time to sell my Veloster which I estimate will sell quickly as they are few and far between...plus I have some of my old co-workers at the Hyundai dealership on my side looking for a buyer for it.

Sure....a Turbo BRZ would be awesome, but the car as it sits right now is pretty much what I'm looking for.

Hi guys... the name's Hamad and I live in Dubai and I would I say I'm pretty excited about the GT86/FRS/BRZ. Currently I won't be able to afford one because of other financial obligations but hopefully when the time is right I'm looking to get myself one, especially in white color.

What I am: an aeronautic engineer

What I do: office work by day & make carbon fiber parts by night, enjoy & participate in motor sports at my local tracks (YAS marina & Dubai Autodrome), get my hands dirty working on project cars.

What I drive: a bone stock Skyline R32 GT-R (track car) & a Ford Mustang (daily drive)

Hope to have to time with everyone

New Guy in 86 and in Turbo

Hi Y'all,

Here in Plano, TX. Just found out this forum and loving it.

I was not following the FR-S until just a few days ago. I can't wait to get my feet on the pedal to the metal.

I am also starting to look into turbo and tuning and would love to hear anyone having any idea about upcoming turbo kit for the FR-S.

Thanks!

Hi all!

New here too. Though I had to congratulate the man getting the whiteout FR-S from the homepage first! Looking forward to hearing from you all, and of course learning about our cars! Can't wait to get mine!

Hey everyone. Name's David, and I'm currently residing in Tokyo, Japan (Nakano ward), but regrettably going to be returning to Las Vegas sometime in the near future. A Whiteout Toyota 86... sorry, <shudder> Scion FR-S... is my consolidation gift to myself for having to move back.

Been interested in this car since the first news came out of a joint effort between Subaru and Toyota back, when was it... 2008? I've owned both a WRX and an STi, so I'm a fan of Subaru's for sure. Since then, kinda been thinking this is what I want for a next vehicle, but didn't get really serious about it till I saw my first BRZ on the street a couple of weeks ago. Mmmm..... I didn't get too close to look at it, because it was parked in someone's driveway, and it was like 3:00 AM when I saw it, so I didn't want to look too suspicious peeking in the windows or anything, LOL. Since then I've seen one other silver 86 out actually driving on the street in daylight. Needless to say, now I've got something to look forward to when I get back. I can't wait to get my hands on one.

Glad to be here, everyone!

Hi FR-S fans! I've been lurking in this forum for a long time, basically since the concept was announced. Now I'm planning to buy one so it's time to join the forum and post up.

I live in the San Francisco bay area and I'll be driving this car for sport, as in for the fun of driving. I do regular mountain runs, and plan for some auto-x and track events if I can make time.

All my past "sports" cars have been small and light: CRX, MR2, S2000, Miata. So I'll feel at home in the FR-S.

I do my own maintenance/mods/tuning so I'm looking forward to some good technical discussions on this forum as people get some hands-on experience in the engine bay.

The main reason I'm interested in the FR-S: I love a simple light-weight well-balanced predictable-handling car with potential to raise the limits as I see fit.

Can't wait til I can put one in my garage!

Hey everyone I'm pretty new here. I'm Erick and haven't been following the FR-S/BRZ for a that long. I have pretty much been glued to the computer researching and finding out more about it ever since though. I used to have an 03 RSX Type-S and sold it before I deployed to Afghan. I miss having a small sporty coupe and RWD is a definite bonus. Well I just wanted to say hello and hope to see some of you out at 86 meets, tracks, or just on the road.

Haven't said hey yet so.....HEY! My name is Aaron, Im 28 and I'm a frs/86/BRZ addict! Have been following the car for about a year or so, and have been trolling the forums for a while. I was looking at new rx8s prior to that, but feel the frs/brz will be able to do what the rx8 can do but while using less gas . I drive a mazdaspeed 6 and I have driven a FRS and I must......MUST! get back in one asap :happy0180:

Hi from Wisconsin! Not sure that I will be giving up my AWD turbo car anytime soon (only 112,000miles currently). But I am continuously shopping just in case! BRZ/FRS looks to be a fun daily driver

Take care!
