Just rooted mine successfully. And have google contacts syncing correctly so that I can use a dialler and not rely on the horrible and flakey bluetooth syncing.
There was a google doc with links and how tos posted earlier. I'll update, post and link to that later. |

So would it be as easy as just pulling the pin from the harness and swapping it with the correct one?

yeah you definitely shouldn't need to cut anything. like a few others i reused the steering wheel control pin to pin for my amp instead since we don't have swc. just grab pliers and push it out of there. it's scary, but not too bad. just find your pinouts so you can check all of your wires.

For all those who have horrible bluetooth connections - I disabled GPS and it seems to have fixed the problem. Still early days but the couple of calls I've had since have been trouble free.
