I noticed after installing the June update that the unit won't stay powered on, everytime I start the car it has to go through the two splash screens...

I think they changed the default setting for that.

I think it is called Quick Boot, and it is located under Settings-->Car Settings. You have a choice none, a couple hours, 12 hours or two days.

How long does it take for them to process the order and ship the unit?

Mine took 10 days to ship to ND, which I thought was pretty impressive.
Ordered on the 13th, got shipping notification on the 19th, and arrived on the 23rd.

Guys who has setup Viper, help please. Root it is installed, BusyBox it is installed, Viper 2.3.3 installed, drivers are downloaded, lpa.decode=false, tunnel.decode=false, lpa.use-stagefright=false.
But the driver is not active, Viper does not work.

Help, please, step by step
Excuse for my English

So, you guys that have rooted - any regrets? No issues so far? I've kept mine stock without even factory updates to this point, and I've had no issues. Looking to root soon.

For anyone having problems getting auto-tether to work, give Llama - Location Profiles [https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ab.Llama&hl=en] a try. I created an event on my phone that turns on the hotspot when it detects that the car bluetooth has paired. As soon as the bluetooth disconnects it shuts off the hotspot and puts the wifi back on. I also use it to automatically make my phone quiet when I'm at work. It's a little easier to set up than tasker IMO.

Another random question: anyone know if this thing supports ad-hoc wireless networks?

Android natively doesn't.
Not sure if there are any working apps that would anymore either...

Do it, if only for Viper and LMT launcher, LMT completely changes how you operate this unit, for the better. Also going to try out the supercharger soon. Zero problems with stability.

I have rooted and have Viper. Curious about LMT launcher. What does it do that other launchers don't?

Rooted. So far, so good. Not getting anywhere with Viper, though. The install instructions in this post (http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...&postcount=487) don't say what the name of the stock equalizer is, and I can't find one with a V icon. Anyone recall the name?

I just got a customs duty invoice from DHL (basically import fees) for $21.30. Shouldn't this have been covered by the fifty-odd dollars I paid Ca-Fi/Innotrends for shipping?

In case you can't tell, I am not a happy camper right now. >
