I think I might make the trip up friday for the meet.

Thinking about 86fest but not sure. Would like to drive one shot and I'm way too poor for hotel rooms.

Sounds like a plan, I'm gonna drag my gf along too.

Oh good greif
No silly one day event us worth driving all that way nonstop
These are cheap rooms split 2 ways...
Whatever
I'll go alone at my own pace if it comes to it...

Tail of the dragon sounds cool too - it can be a bit of a slow procession of Harley's and "tourists" - kind of like the line up going up the side of Mt Everest lol

PS.
You realize it's about 8hrs from Manassas to Tail of the Dragon?

I've gone from home (Vankleek Hill) to Waterloo to buy a car and come back the same day. Left at 3:30 in the morning, came back at around 6 that night.
Long drives don't bother me.

Also I've never had any sort of "vacation" in my life, so I'd enjoy the trip no matter what.

Celebated Canada Day by spending a few hours underneath the car.

Whiteline shifter bushing and rear crossmember bushings are now installed.

I have the differential inserts waiting to go in but ran out of gas/time today.

Same for me but unfortunately an easy job went bad. Can't drive the car until I get parts from dealer.

Calipers finally painted. But one of the front calliper bracket bolts was seized i.e. broke, so now I need a new bracket, bolts.
