I took the 50 on the way to Montreal this afternoon. Holy moly it was full of RV's slowing everybody down. I guess it's vacation time for most people.

I need to start modding my car for quicker straight line power, I was getting tail gated by wrx's and 335's when I was passing to the left

Here's where the main issue was; it's passable now though. Only had about 1 mm gap between the header clamp and the crank pulley (the header is a modular 2-piece design).
[/IMG]
Phil put the blocks to it and widened the gap to about 4 mm. Of course, it's tight where the overpipe passes over the frame too and the cat is very close to an electrical connector and other items which he protected with heat reflective Aluminum tape. So far, so good.
It definitely does what it's supposed to do though. In conjunction with the openflash tablet, the torque dip is completely gone. low to Mid range is very solid now and there's a bit more on top too I think. Feels a little flat between 5-6 k though, but this agrees with the posted Dynos (not worse than stock, just no gains there). Maybe Vishnu could do more there in subsequent tune updates?
I would now say the car feels adequately fast.

Yup - KW Supercharger is in my plan list. But I have other priorities right now!

I'm thinking just a i/h/e + tune combo will do for this year.

Today's MCO Autocross was hot hot hot! Nothing like standing on sun-baked black asphalt for 8 hours with a humidex of 38 degrees. >phew<

The FT86 action was hot too. I was ahead for the first couple of runs until Kenny fought back. He ended up finishing 1st in class with a time of 59.316 vs. my best of 59.761. Pete's last run was awesome ... right up until he hit a cone. Damn cones jumping into the way! Oh well, maybe next event.

Next MCO Autocross is July 12th at the Canadian Tire Place as usual. More details in MCO's forum: http://www.mco.org/phpbb/viewforum.p...c0ca3f8a03db7d

EXPO 86 2014 ( Virginia )

I talked it over with the better half this weekend and its a go for me. I believe Dolo ( Evan ), FRS Ken ( Ken ) and Simon 99 have also expressed an intent to go. Is there anyone else thinking about it? Maybe we can all get together this Friday night to discuss further.

I think I am 100% going
I'll find out where the others are staying in Va and try to book there too
So far I've been assuming no other halves are going and two guys can share a two Queen bed room - if that is incorrect I can add rooms to my reservations or you can find better accommodations for yourselves
Definitely need to discuss this on Friday
@Pbrown - please don't announce when you aren't going to M&M in the future - obviously you are the glue to our group - just half as many showed last Friday

EXPO 86 2014

Just to add a little to your decision making. We are reasonably close to the "Tail of the dragon" road which has over 300 hundred turns in 11 miles and is rated as the number 1 road in the states for driving. Just thought I'd throw that out here. ( possible Saturday event )

PS. Glad you're making it out this weekend AnzKirby. Looking forward to meeting you and seeing the ride.
