LED all around?

I'm looking for a site that has inexpensive LED's. I know a lot of people on here have converted their lights to LED I'm not looking to spend my arm and leg on lights.

Second question does anyone know how to put the fog lights on with out the headlights on? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

If you want cheap and inexpensive then try ebay at your own risk though(I wouldn't). I bought all mine from Diode Dynamics and the quality is great. Had them almost a year and no issues so far. Yes they are probably more expensive but you know you are getting a great LED that you won't have to replace in a short amount of time.

Like Husker BRZ said, I'd go with Diode Dynamics as well for the relatively cheap LEDs such as license plate, interior dome, trunk, & rear side markers in taillights (USDM).

For the more expensive ones such as turn signals and reverse lights, check out http://stores.ebay.com/dtautotech/

If you know what you are buying then it should be cheaper. Granted you will have to do research on the brightness of the bulb, and that research is all done for you through LED vendors here.

Diode dynamics it is. I would prefer quality over quantity everytime. Any of you guys have an idea on the fog light situation? Is there something that can be done to get the fogs on without the headlights?

Can anyone confirm that the Diode Dynamic LED's won't mess up the BIU if I change the door courtesy lights?

I already had it replaced under warranty and don't want to deal with that again. Maybe I should just leave those with ugly stock bulbs.

I have Diode Dynamics LEDs in my dome, trunk, sidemarkers, doors, and above license plate. No issues with a fried BIU.

From what I've read and seen, plenty of people swap out the door LEDs without any harm done to the BIU, although some people have obviously had issues. Much of what I've read suggests that the issue is with installation, not the LED itself. It's been suggested that using something metal/conductive to remove or install a door courtesy light could be the culprit. I don't have the electrical know-how to comment on the validity of that theory, but I can tell you that I replaced my door courtesy with white LEDs, using just my bare hands, and had no issues with the BIU.

Best of luck.

It's how you install the LED's that fries the BIU. These threads talk about it more.

Which seller did you buy from? How long have you had the LEDs? I'm tempted to try out some cheap LEDs from eBay, but there are just so many vendors. And I don't want to waste my time if they're going to burn out with a few weeks of use.

We design our LEDs here in St. Louis and use the best components available. They are also backed with a 3-year hassle free warranty should you encounter any issues. Unfortunately, cheap LEDs are just that- cheap.

If you would like to learn more about automotive lighting technology, and some of the important things to consider with LEDs, check out our research section here: http://www.diodedynamics.com/store/research.html

There are plenty cheap LEDs on eBay, but the average failure rate is over 50%. Ours is less than 3% with thousands of LEDs being sent out everyday.

Feel free to call us if you need more information: (314) 205-3033

We are here as a resource to answer lighting related questions

Thanks!

I want to replace my from and rear turn signal because I cannot stand the amber. I have seen people install a flasher with it...is it necessary? If so...what is the best way to go?
