I may have to wait on my own personal stuff, been talking to the CSG guys about how I want to build up the car. But if you want some extra hands, I'm down.

I'm liking what they are offering for the swift spec-r setups alot, may just do one of their packages.

Sounds good, did you still want to see what the bilstein B8's with the RCE Tarmac springs felt like?

LOL, Let me fix my front camber before you get a false impression of the suspension.

I am going to get some SPC bolts to fix my camber until I can afford top hats.

So suggestions on locations? I assume no one wants to volunteer their house for a BBQ, so let's just meet somewhere semi-scenic for photos. Somewhere with a good background that isn't too busy. I heard of some bridges but idr their name, warehouses work too, open fields with greens and foliage behind them.

Maybe a possibility of rolling shots as well if people want. I haven't done it in a while so we can see how rusty I am.

Heads up: @Scottemad123 @FR-S Matt and anyone else I may be forgetting, we are planning on some wrenching at DIY Austin the first week of June.
I was planning on going to install a rear shifter brushing sometime soon. Not really buying into the shifter brushing ordeal, but it was like $30 so why not? Let me know when y'all go. I was probably gonna go next week sometime

so, out of curiosity, a rolling shot requires 3 people right? 2 people driving and one taking pictures?

could you do it out of the FR-S? I guess you'd need the photog in the passenger seat.

I've got one on, it works. You'll feel a difference in your shifts being more crisp and not sloppy. I did both the Perrin rear shifter bushing and the whiteline positive shift kit.

So Saturday night the San Antonio guys are putting together something and I will be buying SPC camber bolts off one of the forum members that is going to be there. I mentioned the Austin crowd might be interested, so how do y'all feel about meeting up with our neighbors? To me it sounds like a good excuse for the 86's to do what they were meant to do, be driven.

this is a common Subaru issue. Soft shifter bushing, much like the firewall metal being too thin and requiring a master cylinder brass due to flexing. A more solid shifter bushing will really tighten up the shifter feel, just make sure when your installing it to not pull too hard or the drive shaft will bend at the joint.

I've monitored / emptied it every few weeks since I installed it. After first few weeks there was quite a bit (picture of that time in my build thread), then since then there was barely anything... until this time there was a ton. I can't figure it out - unless outside temperature has an effect on it since its getting warmer now. In theory it should be more when driving aggressive/high RPM etc but I am pretty sure I emptied it after the Lime creek run we did and had very little.

This was the first time since getting the oil changed.

I'm just glad that is not going back into my motor gumming things up! It wasn't expensive either so worth it even if just for peace of mind if you ask me.

Not to sound demeaning, do you let your car come to full operating temperature before you drive it hard, anything over about 3500rpms? Its clear oil and not that much, I wouldnt be too worried. My Sti i used to have to empty each month and it would be 1/2 to 3/4 full.

Yep. Miatas are usually the best photog car, but the FR-S will work nicely. Requires some open road since cars have to somewhat match speeds.
