Ask how SoA and ToA intend to strengthen their relationship together with this car in the north america, against a target market much different than Japan.

And will TRD parts be available through Scion. The JDM one NOT the USDM parts.

He won't answer any of the important questions, and NYIAS starts tomorrow so expect a flood of information anyway.

I wouldn't be the asshole who constantly pepper's the guy with pointed questions. Just enjoy your free trip.

Ask him why his hobbies are church and baseball instead of racing and cars. Then ask him why the hell is he running Scion.

I would ask him how much influence Toyota had with Joe Gibbs decision to retain Kyle Busch last year during his meltdown and if winning so many races driving a Toyota had any effect.

Agreed! Be thankful you got the trip. I think it would be interesting to ask how Scion and Subaru worked together on the project and why the marketing of the two essentially same cars are positioned in slightly different segments.

Push start included as an option?

Ask him if there will be a keyless entry and push start would be included as some sort of technology package? Or something convenience package? :happy0180:

Ive had a few prepared for a week now:

are there any known 'performance alignment' specs released yet?
can the STM/TCM both be permanently defeated?
can the TPMS be completely defeated/removed without causing a CEL?
Will there be a needle sweep on start up?
Has the issue with the rear valence shuddering/flapping at highway speeds been addressed?
Will the first 86 cars be serialized or have sequential VINs?

Now these may change if they let us sit in the cars and play with them prior to the Q&A section.

I dont have any other questions beyond technical questions, which I realize this may be the wrong person to ask these technical questions but I hope he will forward them to his technical advisors so we can get some good answers. I probably will end up being that asshole that throws handfuls of pointed, complicated, and technical questions at him. If they want my money, Im gonna need answers unfortunately.

I'd like to see answers to all of the above and why they insist on not selling a Toyota version as a higher spec, keeping the Scion as lower spec. Since you know, this car represents all of Toyota's sports car history which Scion has nothing to do with and Toyota is still lacking a sports car.

This is what I wanna know from him: Why'd they price the car so high AND strip out features from the JDM version?
