Its a fantastic improvement over my 2010. Aside from the front end (which I like more), its a better car in every way. Vents are no worse the the BRZs fender vents either.
Much different car the an FRS/BRZ, but its a great choice for someone who might want more room, options and power. |

I love how the 2013 taillights can replace the dull 2010-2012 tails if you owned a 10-12.

After watching the videos of the new GC 3.8, I have to say that that car sounds about as good as it get's.

Copied from a forum member on Toyobaru who owns a 2011 GC, and drove a 2013 GC 2.0T: "hey man, I just drove the new 2013 Hyundai Genesis and let me give you a personal advise. DO NOT BUY IT!!. It is nowhere near as good as a 2011 genesis. What the $#@& was Hyundai thinking? I was thinking about trading my 2011 genesis for either the new 2013 model or for the BRZ. I really really hope the BRZ won't disappointment me. The "new" turbo makes an annoying sound that even though I only drove for 30 minutes, I still can't get over it. The only CON --> Interior design..."
And another: "I Seriously just test drove one today and i feel the same way..i've never driven the old one nor have i driven the brz/frs but i wasnt that excited about the car...It was very noisy, and the car felt heavy to me...i felt like i can feel the weight of the car as i turned corners, i was expecting a 370z type of steering feel! it just wasnt as fun as i thought it was but dont get me wrong the car has a nice big pickme up when u hit the gas..i wanted something like my 01 integra gsr...it wasnt the fastest car but it was fun to drive, and whether u driving 60 or 100mph u felt every part of the car and u were in control..hoping thats what the brz/frs offers..fuck 0-60 i need a car thats exciting to drive!" And one for the 3.8: I think most people share the same opinions on the new Gen coupe. The V6 is a beast though. Thats the one I test drove last weekend and it was fast, sounded sick and was comfortable to cruise in. The thing is that for $34grand, meh. And FAKE HOOD SCOOPS, WHY? WHY ARE THEY FAKE?

What it basically boils down to is the note you'll get with an aftermarket system is going to be COMPLETELY different, where-as with most other performance vehicles you can still detect hints of the original. The Z goes from it's smooth hollow tone to an incredibly raspy low bellow, Almost night and day.

I do agree, it looks more upscale. If they made that dark gray plastic trim around the center console and shift knob out of actual metal (instead of plastic made to look like metal), I'd buy it simply on principal.
![]() But it's still too big and heavy for what I want, and the BRZ/FR-S interior is plenty nice enough for a driver-focused sports car.
