Is this failure mode essentially equally as likely running ~12 psi on a turbo vs ~12 psi on a supercharger?

Sounds like simple fix, but a pain in the ass since the throttle body needs to be removed to put on the clamps.

You'll need it. Its not limited to a certain PSI, rather any forced air induction.

I was able to clamp all of mine down with needle nose pliers (long ones work best) after removing belt and setting AC compressor on top of oil filter.

I just want to add for others reference that the PCV should also be clamped down. That is accessible too.

12 psi is 12 psi regardless of what you used to get there....

Attaching 5 images of 6 clamps total.

1) Two evap lines behind AC compressor
2) Unplugged evap drivers side by port injectors
3) Unplugged evap under throttle body
4) PCV under throttle body plastic top cover
5) PCV behind engine, above tranny

All accessible with needle nose pliers and removing only belt and AC compressor (can just zip tie it to the side, rest on oil filter).

Credit - PTuning turbo installation instructions.

Heads-Up to those installing FI on their FT86: Failure Point Addressed with P...

Well I'm stranded on the side of the road waiting for AAA to tow me 2 miles back home. My car suddenly stalled while driving and gave me a CEL. Read it with Torque and I'm getting Code P0068. Been driving 1500+ miles with the Kraftwerks kit without a real issue. Wouldn't it be funny if it turns out my hoses blew off the day after learning about the potential failure mode on this thread?

Hmmmm I'm running 20psi and haven't had these blow off yet. I wonder if D3 @ANTI_LAG @Evan@D3PE clamped these for me?
