I've washed it about 5 times now and I can see a swirl mark here or there in the right sun. It's going to happen. The best thing to do with a chrome wrap like this is to put another clear layer on top of the vinyl.

My number one goal with this car is to be different. I'll never be the best (or even good) driver or have the fastest car, but I love driving this thing to death and it makes me smile to know that what I have is somewhat unique. I've seen a full chrome FRS somewhere on the internet, but it wasn't to my liking.

I share these pictures so you guys can have an open conversation about changing the looks of your cars for relatively low cost and making it your own. I welcome people to say they don't like it and I hope that this topic remains civil.

*here's an outside cloudy day shot.
for me....once you post quotes or pictures...people will give their thoughts wether good or bad. what's important is you want what you did....and you like what you've done.
looking forward to more mods to finish the looks.....

Beautiful but you can get this done for a lot less than $6-$7K. You can buy the material needed for the car for $420-$460 and get it installed for $1,000 to $1,400 depending on where it is done. Mind you you will have to get the vinyl laminate it before installing or it will fade, but any pro vinyl shop will have a laminating machine. If you can't do it you can always get SuperCast Chrome that won't need lamination but will cost $800-$850 which is actually better than Avery (3M doesn't make Chrome anymore) and much cheaper too... Avery will run you $1000 or more for the same. I am thinking of 50' to 60' material.
I used these guys before to get my vinyl wrap material for my previous cars: carwrapsupplier.com
