TN, VA, and NC all sound good to me. They would also be the most accessible for the majority. Somewhere with a track would be nice... Tail of the Dragon sounds cool too.

As I've mentioned in the past, an 86 EXPO for me has to be basically centered around a track day or I won't bother (no offense, parking lot meets are just the definition of boring to me). In that regard, Cleveland works. Mid Ohio is close enough. Cedar Point is close enough and I can visit Rocky River Brewing and Great Lakes Brewing again. Sad cause right now it looks like I won't get there any other way in 2014.

nyc would be awesome, but for those coming from out of state and planning on staying hotels might be expensive along with going in and out of the city if they want to stay in surrounding area. not to mention roads and traffic aren't ideal.

nj would be perfect. whether you're in south, central, or north, there's a good venue. hotels are cheaper than a major city. there's plenty to do with nyc, ac, and philly relatively close.

But this isn't a NE meet. People should expect to drive for a once a year event like this. I help plan a yearly event for another vehicle and it has NEVER been close to me. 9-10 hour drive has been the closest. We've had people fly over from Japan and Europe. :shrug:

And it would be a line considering how much traffic is there. So many other better roads around there too, I'm still not sure why it's famous. It's.. intense? in that it continues with so many switchbacks but I get bored about half way through and just want it to end lol

Once people are willing to drive it can happen. We did a three day track event at MAM near Omaha Nebraska with success. You just need a community willing to make the drive to hang out with like minded people.

I agree, most people think of Montana and similar when they think mid west. Technically Detroit, Chicago, Indy, Texas, etc are mid west and have a ton of owners.
