Can you give a brief process on how you go on about doing this?
How often/tank almost empty/when to switch ecu?

I'm waiting on my headers. Once I get them put on I'll be trying e85

You can run E85 on a "stock" car ie no headers by using the E85 stage 2 tune for EL or UEL headers there is a thread here on this.

see thread

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=56452

Just run your tank down till low fuel light on, fill with E85 . Drive moderately
Use the Diag mode of OFT to monitor fuel trims once you see the fuel trims rise (will only take a kM or two) petrol now out of system pull over and flash E85 tune. Drive moderately untill fuel trims stabalise below 10% (mabe 5-10km) and your done.

I have also just pulled over in the station car park and idled for a couple of minutes then flashed and drive moderately (no wide open throttle) till fuel trims stabilize on new fuel might take 10km or so.

Repeat going back the other way just monitor fuel trims and don't drive hard till STFT and LTFT stabilize below 10%

All you have to do is run your gas tank down before you fill up with e85. Then reflash your car with the e85 map. Super simple. I just waited until it got to E and filled up, Shiv mentioned the ECU compensates for small changes in ethanol ratings.

As for shipping costs, definitely call the sales office and they will refund you the difference between what you paid for and what you got. Not to make excuses for them, but the day after we receive a big batch of OFTs is usually pretty crazy since they often need to prepare 50+ OFTs shipments so sometimes things can get a little delayed. Each one takes a few minutes to configure and pre-load so it gets pretty hairy when UPS pick-up times draws near. Also, if you feel that any part of the OFT enclosure is opening, please let us replace it. It's not been my experience for the enclosures to loosen as they are internally glued with compression fittings at all four corners. In fact, I've bent a few screw drivers trying to open enclosure!

DriftHappens-- Yes, indeed. We already support Phantom SC kits. And we will be supporting Vortech SC in the very near future. I'll be spending Monday at Vortech Engineering working with their tuner, on their in-house dyno, calibrating a supercharged 2013 BRZ that we provided to them last week

DAEMANO and WNDSRFR-- Thanks for the props. I'm enjoying Phantom SC as well. In fact, I'm installing a secondary dump pack this weekend.

Xabiss-- With the Stage 1 and Stage 2 EL maps there will be a noticeable change in induction noise right around 3800-4300rpm, at full throttle. This is caused by a valve timing shift which is intended to minimize the torque dip. Most people only hear it immediately after installing their OFT but soon get accustomed to it. Nothing to worry about. It's the sound of the engine making more power

WiebTech Performance- 9 out of 10 communication errors between OFT and Laptop can simply be solved by trying another USB port (use USB 2.0, not a 3.0). Or, in worst case scenario, another computer since some have port interference issues depending on what other applications you have. I have yet to see a problem caused by the OFT and not the laptop settings itself.
Now this is good service, thanks Shiv

Agreed. I just ordered OFT + OFH combo and gaskets. Thanks for this thread. I was already thinking about pulling the trigger but this was the final read that pushed me to it.

Thanks for the order! I think you'll enjoy it. Especially with the new v1.6 maps I'm currently developing
