Jesus. I've never ran with E85... I mean the power makes me want to, but I'm scared with my lead foot I won't get more than 20 feet from the gas station before having to fill up again haha

E85 cools the charge more and has higher effective octane. The specific energy of E85 is actually lower than gasoline, but the previous mentioned benefits allow you to make power more efficiently.

So lower specific energy, but much higher octane which allows much higher compressibility, resulting in higher numbers, and safer fuel (relatively) due to cooler charge... I always see those shows on Velocity where they find a barn car with aviation gas in it, hasn't run in 40 years, and starts up perfectly. why? Same basic principle?

Already noted, thought about running E85 fuel, most store in sealed drums. I would probably use 55 gal drums in my garage.
