Well now that Christmas has past and New Years fast approaching brings to my mind another Meet?

Any thoughts on an idea for a date?

Next thought is if there are any Race Tracks that we might be able to rent some time on as a group and possibly get a Group rate on?

Just a couple of thoughts I had in my head I thought I would toss out there.
I'm retired so if anyone had a place in mind I could do the additional research and negotiating for us and of course check back with the Group here and on FB for final approval.

The only race track in the area is Napa Speedway but it's uber expensive to rent it out for the day privately. Usually there's track events that are hosted where you can buy in for around $50-100 a vehicle for a few hours.

I was thinking maybe we could put a drive together in a month or two when the weather up north gets a little warmer up through the Jemez or NM14 from the east mountains up to Santa Fe. Both are fun roads!

One thing we could do that's always a lot of fun is meet up and do some indoor go karting. Just an idea of something that'll be fun and indoor since the weather out still is chilly on occasion

Those sound like good ideas; the last two that is. I would be more than willing to help set up that Indoor Karting event if you would like. And the ride I always up for. Just say the word and I'm there.

Also with the Super Bowl coming up here soon I was thinking about having something out at the house here in Los Lunas. I'll post up here after the New Year and see what interest is.

You're more than welcome to set up an event! Just give us the details so we can mark it on the calendar. It's always a fun time hanging out with the FT86 crowd

As for the drive, I was eyeing March or April and will probably post up a feeler for the date as it gets closer. I'm going to try and coordinate that drive with the s2000 guys/girls as well so we can have a good showing of nice cars

I'm sure once it warms up and isn't dark so late we could make weekly meets happen.

William, got my vote for more often once the weather breaks some. Plus Spring time will bring back "Cars & Coffee" also which gives us another excuse to all get together.

The s2000 crew meets Tuesday evenings around 7pm on the westside of Albuquerque. I usually go when it's not freezing. I was thinking of just combining the FT86 meet with S2000 meet since they're all a good group of guys/girls.
