I didn't intend for my FR-S to be my DD, only a weekend/track car, but I like driving it more than my actual DD (mk6 GTI), so I've been using it for daily-driving too.
We'll see if that changes as I continue modding it.

My FRS replaced two cars.. This is my full time toy.. No more garage queen and beater car combos. Did that for too many years and ended up driving the beater car to "preserve" the fun car.. Tired of turning over my fun cars to someone else in perfect condition.. Life is too short to drive boring cars..
But can understand those up north that deal with harsh winters and such needing a beater to get around in during the winter.. |

my FR-S replaced my v8 DD when my wife lost her job. I used it everyday for most of this year until I got back on two wheels. Now my bike is my DD (70mpg+ is kind of nice...), weather permitting, which is most days in Houston. Anytime its rainy, a bit too windy, or I just don't physically feel up to riding the bike into work, I hop back in the FR-S

DD for me since I purchased the car in July. This is my first winter and I put on a set of X-Ice 3's with steel wheels.
The car out handles, out grips and out brakes my wife's Jetta w/all seasons. This car is a blast to drive and the only thing that will take it away from me is when we get down to having kids!! |

Definitely a DD. This car is not worthy of being a dedicated track or fun car without some serious work although it does spend a bit of time on closed courses. It makes a perfect DD though, although I'd like a little more power and my sun visor to stop coming unclipped when I flip it down. >.<
