![]() As with most RWD cars, with good winter tires, the FR-S should get you around. However, if you get a lot of snow and it gets deep on the roadways, a AWD or FWD at least, may be better transportation. humfrz |

Hello there. I got my FRS about a month ago. Love the car (hate hate HATE the dealer - the car had some minor damage to the paint that I didn't find until I had it for two days, and the general sales manager not only won't do anything about it, he was pretty shitty about it). I had been lusting for the BRZ-FRS ever since it was announced, and it was my retirement present to myself. Yes, there are people on this forum over 30 LOL.
Mine is ultramarine in color, automatic (love those paddle shifters - I'm all about high tech) spoiler and trunk carpet. That's about it. On its way to me from Crutchfield is a JVC touch-screen GPS-stereo-video unit with SiriusXM receiver and a back-up camera. After that, I'm going to install a dash cam - largely due to a road rage incident I was victim of almost a year ago. BTW, this forum is awesome. It's taking a while to go through it because there's so much good info here. Looking forward to learning more about my car, what's available for it, and all the how-to and DIY information.

.... senior citizen!Yep, there are several of us old timers here abouts. DANG, your mod story sounds like mine; spoiler, trunk carpet, new head unit (Kenwood) with GPS & Sirius/XM, dash cam (GoPro). I didn't get the backup camera, but as long as my wife is along to scream .... I'm OK. You might consider a trunk lid liner - a BRZ part, not too expensive and really finishes off the trunk .... not that you spend a lot of time back there. Oh yes, another mod for the rear end is a set of Perrin exhaust tips .... they are really perty ... or better yet, at least an axle back aftermarket muffler ... makes the car sound like a sports car. I like my Nameless Performance unit. As far as road rage, a dash cam is fine, however, I find comfort in my old .45 ACP, loaded and tucked into that pouch behind the passenger's seat.... ![]() Retirement is fun ..... ain't it ..... ![]() humfrz |

Hello all. I picked up my frs couple of weeks ago. What a beautiful it is. So far very happy with the decision of buying this car.
Driving it in the snow is even better. I am surprised how well it stays in control but again I haven't really pushed it much yet :p

Just bought a 2014 BRZ Ltd in WRB. My first sports car, and it's more fun than I could have imagined. I know there's plenty I can do to mod this sucker, and I'm looking forward to all of it, although it's all still so overwhelming. Suggestions??
Also, I'm an over 30 female, so I guess I make up like 10% of the market. |

Hi, new owner of one of the twins now going on 5500 miles.
I took delivery of a 10 series on October 1st last month with a microscopic paint chip on it, still waiting on that "silver ignition" touch up paint that they promised to mail to me in California (picked up in Houston and drove to LA few days later). Love the quirks; I also have the chirpy chirp sounds after my first fill up here in OC. Don't know whether if I should bring it in yet since I doubt there's a fix by now. But it's fine, adding touch up paint probably would've made the chip more noticeable |

...... imanedrn ...... and CONGRATULATIONS on your purchase!Modding ...... ?? It doesn't really need anything ..... it came pretty well outfitted, right off the boat..... Oh, maybe an aftermarket exhaust if you would like it to "sound" a bit more like a "sports" car. humfrz |

Wanted the FR-S as soon as it came out, but I had just invested in a high end JCW Mini Cooper, and really couldn't justify selling it. I was also a little disappointed in the variation on options that Toyota was offering pre-installed. So I opted for a Crystal Silica Black BRZ Limited, which I picked up yesterday.
It's weird getting back into a naturally aspirated motor again, the Mini you could stomp on in any gear to get a boat load of power, the BRZ takes a bit more effort with a downshift or two. It will take a little driving to get used to the feel. Unfortunately most of my driving is in traffic, at least not full on commute traffic, but close to it. Then last night I spent money at FT-86 SpeedFactory, so it's an even more expensive day.
