As always the drive was enjoyable, very little traffic holding us up.
It was cold up there but the view was pretty grand. Sorry no pics of the cars, but you've probably seen them before.

Unfortunately I think I might have to pass on driving down to MRLS. Too much stuff going on this weekend and Sunday afternoon to try and make my way back early enough. Kind of bummed. Hope you all have a great time.

Is this picture taken from the other telescope? The one you have to park and walk 1/4 mile to?

Great picture, and if so, I'm kicking myself for not getting to this view when I did the drive last weekend.

Can't tonight, gonna be handing out candy it looks like. I think a bunch of folks may try to get online and play some GT5 together if they free up later.

It's taken from the Lick Observatory which is the main building with the parking lot and the gift shop, post office etc...

Gentle Ladies and Merry Men,

I will be doing a late night drive with some of my close BRZ bros. It will likely include 35, 84, and 9. We drive conservatively but certainly not leisurely. Hit me up for deets.

LOL I like that. Have fun, watch out for trick-or-treaters and the headless horseman!

NorCal (Bay Area) DRIVE Chat Thread

So the day ended going differently than I had planned... swapped in my race pads and bled my brakes, but when I went down the hill to meet with @RC51ed the brakes still felt mushy. My bleeding process left much to be desired so Ed helped me re-bleed them and much better after. Even ran into @BigFatFlip over at Vic Hubbard while we were picking up extra brake fluid. Thanks Ed!

Then we went for a quick drive on Redwood before it got dark to celebrate.

Went for a random drive this afternoon/evening. Took the redwood/pinehurst/grizzly peak blvd route. Was definitely fun! Not too many narrow roads but I still decided to take it easy because I'm not familiar with the roads and there were quite a few pedestrians. Man that view on grizzly peak is beautiful! I'll Definitely bring a girl up here for some sight seeing I wish I lived closer to these roads... But I can't complain since mt.Hamilton is like 5 mins away

Went on a random drive on Calaveras Blvd in Milpitas. The road is extremely challenging with tons of sudden turns, bumps, and narrowing lanes. Definitely didn't push hard on that road. Views were OK, overlooking San Jose and there were a ton of cows.

Still, BRZ was phenomenal and inspired a ton of confidence.

I still prefer Redwood Rd., especially during the day as the trees look beautiful with the sun's rays peeping through.
