Garage
I remember reading an Edmunds article that said the best 0-60 time they got was when they launched at 5k.

What I wonder is the 0-60 times for the Vortech/Innovate Supercharged builds?

It would be interested to see if the $5k-$7k investment has a decent effect in the 0-60 time.

Who's judging ....? 0-60 is a useful performance measurement.. I love the handling of this car, looks and price point.. But I wouldn't have bought it if it did a 9 sec run to 60. It's go kart like handling is great.. But not if it can't get out of its own way.
If the cars handles so well.. It should have the power to get up to speed so you can use it..
It feels like a mid 6 sec car to 60.. Under the right conditions..

You have to launch this car to clutch and drivetrain shocking levels to get low 0-60 numbers.

5000-5500RPM area. And why you would do that is beyond me.
Street start is slow on a stock car. Even on Vortech and Innovate street starts are pretty blah.

Amen brother. Feels like a huge difference.

About 4500 on the street, assuming good tires. Streets usually dont stick well enough to justify that high RPM. Sticky concrete is a different story.

Because racecar. At least that's my reason

This car was practically designed to have shitty 0-60 times, considering 2nd gear tops out at 58mph.

4 sec 0-60 in a rwd car that already weighs 2200lbs is gonna be hard since the thing will be impossible to launch well enough.

Too bad we have to shift to 3rd, otherwise it could be faster.

I'd like to try a 4s car, but the STI doesn't really appeal to me looks wise and anything else newer is off the scale cost wise.

Who knows, maybe FI in the future will do the trick? Curious what kind of pass times non extreme setups with stock fuel systems have achieved.
I'm curious... how much do you weigh if you don't mind me asking? I always wondered how much the driver's weight can play into the 0-60 time for cars as light and underpowered as hours.

I thought the auto was almost exactly 1 second slower than the manual 0-60.
I agree that this is a statistic that really shouldn't be made too big a deal over. The car wasn't designed to be a dragster. It's a canyon carver. You want to compare acceleration statistics, how about something useful for the intended use of the car, like 30-90? How fast does it get back up to speed coming out of a turn is far more useful to know than how fast it gets to speed from a standing start.
