I may be in the market for widebody bumpers. The factory guards most likely can be pulled (or cut, if you want to go crazy), but getting the bumpers to line up is then a problem.

I'd really like to see a spoiler like the Evolution, or Acura RSX type S. Those spoilers seem like they would fit the car more then the Nuremberg one.

If you make one like the one pictured in the OP, for the FRS, and have overfenders that over the whole rear quarter panel. I'll buy that shit in a HEARTBEAT! I want 6 inches of lip on my FRS

It's an amazing work, Josh. I really like the front and rear trunk extension.

As a person who will likely need a widebody kit, these are my thoughts:

This is good, really good.

Cars that are going to need 300mm rear tyres are likely to have forced induction and large brakes. I'd consider deleted fog lights with brake ducts instead as useful. Also increased air through the front. That's gong to require vents in the bonnet, a vent just before the bonnet (along the very trailing edge of the bumper behind the badge) or both. Note that this is because they are needed, not because they are wanted. The more discrete, the better.

This is good, great even ... until the cut out part on the lower trailing panel. Not only because it introduces a fussy hard line to an otherwise tasteful flowing design, but also because it would necessitate repairing stone chips on a weekly basis. Unless something like this is wind tunnel tested, it's just rice.

This is the bit that just loses me. The trailing lower part looks unfinished and the hard line above the filler cap is inconsistent with the rest of the car. I'd rather purchase a wider rear bumper that retains the the original shape and pay a panel beater to modify the factory panel and pull it out to match.

The result of what I'm suggesting would have serious road presence, but would look stylish, rather than cartoonish.

Overall, the design is very well thought out, especially the features the kit offers such as inlet ducts at the eyes of each headlight.

Coyote, I might have to disagree on the idea that the design requires hood vents. Consider Mine's 350z:

In this design, Mine's opted to employ dual vents at the front of the vehicle with the aim of provided sufficient air to the intake. However, we do not see any hood vents. I see where you're coming from that there might be air accumulation in the engine bay, but the additional vents are not large enough. (please correct me if air accumulation was not the reason)

Though, adding vents in the hood will evacuate heat generated in the engine bay.

In terms of the front fender and rear quarter panels which feature a "cut out" region in the lower section, I agree. I can see the appeal in this design as it kind of draws upon Spoon's fender for the S2000, but practically speaking, the wider tire will project stone onto the paint. A solution to this could be adding rally guard as found on evos/imprezas but that wont be appealing.

Coyote, calling the fenders rice is a bit harsh... WoW has put a lot of effort into designing a kit that would appeal to forum members.

For the rear fender, I can see how a lot of members will opt to have this moulded to the original body to achieve that smoother look.

My thoughts:

- The overall idea is great.
- Front and rear fender designs need to be revised due to practical reasons as stated above
- Not really feeling the front rectangular opening on the front bumper (but that's just my personal preference which honestly doesn't matter, I'm sure a lot of the members here will like the overall design. My opinion is also slightly biased as I'm rooting for the GT86 )

I will be awaiting the design for the FRS/GT86

I like the idea and general feel of what you're doing, OEM inspired design is refreshing. The cutouts behind the wheels are a bit much for my taste, but a lot of people will probably like this. Amazing work in all, and I'd be surprised if you weren't able to sell your design.

thnx for the input guys. Although i fear some of you are projecting your own feelings of what a car should do and feel like onto my design on certain elements that I left out.

I left the hood unmodded and unvented because i will not be designing any hoods. The choice options is yours what you want to do via 3rd party.

I left the fog area untouched because that's up to the user to do as he/she pleases. Fogs or brake air ducts, thats not for me to decide.

As for the cut outs behind the rear wheel...im not going to lie. I got a huge inspiration from Re Amemiyas proven aero. Which lots of people also think is rice, although one of the most functional kits for the FD rx7 thats available.

Which..im somewhat surprised that Coyote mentioned rocks..when i never really thought of that, only because rocks never became an issue for guys running the same setup.

Great design overall IMO. As far as rocks/stones being thrown behind the front wheels, that is nothing some 3M clear protective film couldn't handle.

Holy Crap! If you make this so (which you probably will) I will so consider a BRZ. Even just for that Front facsia and awesome spoiler.

Hey Wings, I know your going to be busy with the BRZ stuff and all, but are you going to design one for the FRS?
