The pictures show 18x8.75 +35 (+35 means mm, so if you want it to poke 10mm more it will be +25 and so on) So you're basically looking either at something like 17x8.25 +20 or, if 18" is ok aswell, 18x8.75 +25 or even +20. I'm however not sure what XXR offers in the 17", and I've only seen in 18" the +20 Wheels, so you may have to think about getting a smaller offset and add some spacers to the wheels to get your desired offset. However you may need to do some fenderwork with that setup. I suggest to read this whole thread as there are some with poking setup in here. I've linked some post to start you off http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...&postcount=790 http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...&postcount=923 http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...&postcount=670

Just keep in mind that bigger diameter meens also your car will have more ground clearence and look more "offroadish" Every mm you add to the tire wall will "lift" your car.

pros... 1. a smoother ride (less shock from bumps and potholes, more absorbed by the tire) (not by much) 2. more ground clearance. (wont have to worry about the dips in the road as much. wont plow the snow (as much) with my front bumper in the winter).(not by much) 3. technically a higher top speed. (not by much) 4. technically less wheel spin on take off and shifting to second or third. (not by much) cons... 1. decreased handling and areo dynamics (not by much) 2. slower acceleration / 0-60 time (not by much) 3. offroadish look if u wanna count that (i dont) looks like the pros outweigh the cons in my situation. 17x8.25 +30 235/50/17 will this fill all around with out rubbing? |

So, bottom line. 235/45/17 will be about 1cm higher Diameter than stock. 235/50/17 is about 2cm higher in Diameter than stock, which I still belive is way to much. hehe thanks :-)
