You can do a retrofit correctly, you just need to use actual HID projectors and make sure it's installed correctly. Still not as good as a stock S2000's (which are amazing HID projectors in a proper housing) but they will be much better than a PNP kit.

It better be a second model, I'm not playing the oh yea we aren't going to roll out performance models for 2 years, go ahead and do that and I'll go ahead and move onto a different car.

The reality is subaru wants to build cheaper cars and charge more money for them, so we can't count on them either.

What asshole designs a strictly performance car and waits to deliver an actual performance model.

Really? FRS and BRZ seem like a good performance car to me. No STI or TRD is guaranteed to come to us yet.

And let's get even more specific:

OEM Projector HID systems > OEM non-projector HID systems or Retrofitted Projector HID systems >>>>> Aftermarket PnP HID kits

Uhmm.. in Germany that's true. It's not true in the US. S2000s didn't have either. BiXenon cars have leveling of course.

The difference is primary in the projector and housing, not the ancillary systems.

Which is why I was saying nothing I have experienced. Factory will always be superior to me than aftermarket.

True, in the US it is not required. Probably why so many people complain about HID's hurting their eyes. Even factory equipped HID's in the US aren't the greatest.

I'd say OEM Projector HID > Proper Retrofit Projector HID > OEM Reflector HID systems > PNP HID Kits in Projectors > Projector Halogens > PNP HID kits in Reflectors > PNP HID kits with any tinted bulbs (like 6000k bulbs or the laughable 12k bulbs).

That is the most likely case.

+1 However I would say the best stock HID's are in the Acura TSX.

Are you asking about HID? or HUD (heads up display?) The only recent car I know with that is the Corvette.
