Ok information please on stock rims...
If I stuck with my stock rims for now due to not wanting to spend the money for new ones, should I just get new tires for a more aggressive look? If so if I even can what size heigh etc should I get.

I don't see the point in getting some aggressive tires for use the look.
If you want to look agressive getting rims would solve that faster than getting tires.

To look more agressive on stockers, get more low. Preferrably 1.4" low (Eibach Sportlines or CG springs). Then, get more wide (20mm spacer in front, 30mm spacer in rear). - Disclaimer - I plan to do this very thing while waiting for more aggressive wheels/tires.

How much do you think it would be for some good tires? I'm new to this whole car modification thing really, I drove a 81 Chevy s10 for the longest time on racing slicks. The frs is my first actual car. Can someone give me some comparisons?

Clearances for wider wheels and tires are significant as this car is designed for aggressive modification right out the door, heck, the rear shock towers even have holes to permit easy adjustment of coilover shocks should you fit those. Bear in mind that fitting any better tires will pretty much eliminate the tail step out unless you really overdo a corner and get spooked into lifting off too suddenly (or do so on purpose of course). |

Getting tires on stock rims make sense if you want the car to drive and perform better. Getting tires for just looks along isn't very cost effective. With that said I've seen people run up to 245/40 17s on their stock 7" rims. That made the control quite sloppy in my opinion. I would suggest 235 at the most for 7" wheels. Set of 235 Star Specs would make a big difference in grip and handling, looks, not so much.

Thank you guys for the info, never do I think about just kiddin the car for "just looks" I always have performance in consideration, I'm just trying to fill the wheel gap in better as I'm waiting to have the money for coiliovers. I just need examples of wat people are running on stock rims. Wider tires seem appealing to me but yet a tad bit higher as well. I know there's room for them but how does it affect a dd? As well as a fun time.

Your best bet to fill the gap inexpensively, that would actually improve performance would be to buy shorter springs (RCE Yellows, Eibachs, CGs, Tein, etc) for about $150-$250 est. Then resell them when you're ready for coils. You could probably re-sell them for $100-$150 depending on the model. |

you are trying to make up the gap in tire size which will affect the car way more and be more costly then using the stock tires and getting springs like the above suggested

IMO get springs and spacers. Spacers will push the wheels out for a more aggressive look
