Visit an autocross meet sometime. You'll see tons of first gen miatas, and the oness that aren't on 15's will be on 14's. I run 195/55R15 Potenzas on mine - the fastest guys use the same setup, just drive better.

Back to the point - NO - I don't want a turbo. That's the path to darkness. First a turbo, then next year's model gets bigger tires, wider fenders, more powere. Before long Scion will be unveiling the twin turbo 600HP 2016 FR-S with a 4,000 lb curb weight and unwittingly spark a global zombie apocalypse. Is that what you want for your children?

The lack of power I feel is a good thing. If it were a faster car it would attract more idiots. I for one love owning unique enthusiast cars. That's my only concern with going to this car. Some idiot pulling up next to me with graphics and a fire extinguisher.

Lol at the not too fast/modified comments, although I agree a base N/A should be offered for ya.

No need. A used clean s2k will probably be about the same as an frs.

^This. I see plenty of low mileage s2ks but it's kind of steep if you look at ap2s. IMO getting an Fr-S/BRZ is the better choice the fact it's brand new.
