Hey,

No, that isn't me. Although my location says Bristol, I work there and live outside of Chippenham, so this was all in Swindon. I've been meaning to pop in to the Patchway dealer, but will leave it a while, considering that my questions are quite specific.

The order book is definately open as when I ordered mine I had to decide colour gearbox and leather/non leather and there was some confusion as the dealer wanted to make sure that I was happy to order without confirming that leather really meant half leather alcantara which is what the press suggests.

there was nothing about touch and go though.

It looks like it. The dealer told me that pretty much every toyota is going to come with touch (that includes the camera) in the UK. Should be about £500 extra for the upgrade to touch and go.... To be honest as an electronics engineer myself, I can tell you that a low res camera system (like a web cam) does not cost much to implament.....

There is quite alot of standard equipment such as folding door mirrors and auto dimming read view mirror, Keyless entry, cruise control......

it's nice that the spec will be nice as i know id want to pick these options if they were an option

but it's not nice to see the base price bumped up because of them:P - at least it won't feel too different from my current car, spec wise

Even my swift has Keyless entry and start! I agree it might have been nice ot have £22k base and have the rest as extras..... but thats the Toyota Production System for you..... if they were extra you would probably find that with the extra it would cost more than a single fully kitted model...

Hi all, From London here!

We are planning to get the GT86 when its out and planning to do some R&D with it and maybe use it for Timeattack or other racing series!

Would be nice if we can have our own UK section.

Dixon - DMS.

Yeah I do want to get one, but I think its going to be a year ot two old JDM import too. "customize grade" is only £16K odd plus shipping.

Do you know if you still need a model report these days to import one?

A model report basically means some one with lots of money is going to have to buy a few of them to crash in euro crash tests

you won't need a model report for a race car though just if you want it road legal. Also it maybe be possible to argue that the GT86's crash tests etc are sufficient.
