I don't think that fogs are really needed, but who really needs the LED DRLs either? I just personally think it completes the look of the car and makes it that much closer to the GT86 (for heavens sake why won't they just sell the GT86 over here?).
Nice work with the clear side markers! Makes the car looks so much better. Can't wait for my car to show up! I was lucky enough to drive an FR-S on the Pacific Coastal Hwy for 3 days and having owned a Miata for over 6 years, here is a quick note on how they compare: - the FR-S is one of the more "rear driven" cars I have driven. You don't need to do big power slides or anything like that but you can feel the rear end pushing you around and helping to rotate the car. I like that. - In stock form its definitely NOT a power car, but a finesse car. Its very communicative despite its electrically assisted steering. Some people who think its slow or don't like the skinny tires are kind of missing the point of the car. Its not meant to blow your mind with speed, but to blow your mind with fun. I like that. - While I applaud those who will spend the time tuning their cars, I rather enjoy the car as it is stock. 99% of my driving is around town, and I will go to the occasional track day. So I will cater my car to the 99% of the driving I do, which is generally low speed stuff. I love how much fun you can have with this car even going at low speed. Easiest car to drift I have ever driven, and not scary at all. I like that also. For me this car is an "old school" car built with new age conveniences. The 10 series is just closer to what I ultimately want. Only thing I am struggling with now is whether I should remove the Scion badges and replace them with Toyota.... |

Even if I had a standard FR-S I still prob wouldn't rebadge it because 1) interior badges would mismatch exterior unless you do it right and buy a $1k airbag, 2) I don't want to explain branding to people, and 3) seems like everyone is rebadging. Scion is the black sheep brand of the globe and I like the logo's design, aesthetically. Because of that, I consider rebadging my BRZ to Scion sometimes (I really wanted a Scion back in college when the brand was new). But 1) I don't want to explain branding to people (already a hassle explaining why my Subaru is not turbo AWD) and 2) like Ignition Silver only looks right with a Scion badge, WRB only looks right with a Subaru badge, especially with this badge being blue with tiny black checkers which match my color scheme.

Most automakers are now using LED DRLs. I'd like my Scion/Toyota to at least be with the times. I like them, they look amazing in the day and give the vehicle character. If Chrysler, chevrolet, ford, dodge, kia, Honda, gmc, all have them let alone luxury brands like: Buick, lexus, Toyota, audi, BMW, Mercedes I want them too.

This thread should be renamed the HID/DRL/Fog Light thread. Ha!
On Bimmerfest the threads about the angel eyes xenon headlights go on forever and ever. Personally I can't wait to see how the HIDs look! I am holding off on any add on options for the time being. I wanted to keep the car stock in the beginning. Also helps keep cost down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I couldn't imagine going through supra2nv's shoes, get the car for like a day then send it into a shop for a while. I'd be aching to have this thing in my grasp on the roads. But I know you're wait will be well worth it, going to be awesome with all the TRD. |

Has anyone notice that the smart key sensitivity is very high? Every time I walk pass my car the badges light up and the inside lights turn on. It doesn't unlock but it still turns on. Last night I was watching fireworks sitting next to my car and it just kept flickering on. That doesnt seem normal.

Well my 10 series FRS will not be here until mid July, but my dealer did get a 10 series TC for me to look at. Now that I have seen the color in person, it is pretty unique. Today was cloudy, so it looked a grey/blue color. Very different compared to the Argento silver. You guys were right! It must be seen in person. Now if only my car would hurry up and get here.

How close were you sitting next your your car? I think the proximity is like 1.5-2 feet? |

Yeah. Like two feet away in a chair and it just continously lit up every few min.
