Me too. I be totally honest I know very little about offset and how / what that all means. Anyone care to give a neophyte as short verbal description of how offset works and dos and donts as it relates to this specific car.

I'm thinking 17" CCW Classics.

There is no use posting some of these wheels in here. Realistic sizing is one of the most important factors in choosing wheels, some of these are just way over what the AS1 needs. Not to mention paying like 1/6th of the vehicles cost (Its COR not CDR?)

So according to your comments, Motegi and Work's are some of your favorite brands? Just asking because you seem to know a thing or two about the right wheels.

2 wheels from Motegi I like : the Trak Lite wheels (for being a forged wheel not all of their line up (AR has some horrible designs they have given to the Motegi Brand)

I like Work wheels a lot (I had a sponsorship through them back in the day)

reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelax :happy0180:

i'm really curious as to what some of you guys are thinking as far as wheel size? i'm big on the idea of big but not too big...i'd like to go "19, even though the wheel wells look like the could even accommodate '20's. naturally once you go larger you incurring both more cost and weight.

19's look perfect for a bigger car like the Mustang but not for an AS1, think of more of something that looks good on the Audi TT or the Nissan 370z. They are similar in size to the AS1.

So all in all 17" or 18" are fine. 16" if you like tire meat

you guys are trippin', hard. Caymans, TT's, 370Z's, S2K's (even late model Miatas!!) are ALL running "19's AND "20's all day. time to step out of the 80's folks. just because it isn't YOUR preference doesn't mean its wrong or not someone else's.

You must be a repeat offender huh

Big wheels are a fad, like the hellaflush scene... you get over it quick once you realize those cars never, ever see the track, just the parking lot. For a car that's meant to be driven, I cannot understand why you would advocate reducing ride quality, performance, durability and response for "looks". Not to mention your taste will change and there goes all your invested cash.

Also @ NAGTROC

Get some 18" wheels to race/HPDE with and the tire price goes down.
