Is there any way to cover up the open spaces on the sides? I am going to do an install today and noticed that there is a considerable amount of open space on either side.

Updated, do not use solid core cat5e when it comes to soldering. I've f#^ked up my pcb and I need to wait for replacement to come from Japan.
Ike44 - one thing that I didn't take in to account, make sure you dremel enough that the physical buttons are not pressed. I only found out the hard way going around a corner. Dash flexs a lot. Dezoris - I sure you have a lot to comment on dashboard flex n sound :P, nice part 2 video. I'm sure you got a lemon and scion should replace it. Cheers, Sam |

Well, small update. After F#&king up a head unit I bought myself a new one and thought I would just hack away behind the dash.
Here are some photo's of whats involved. ![]() ![]() As I'm about to cut out the last little bit, the Dremel broke, Yay! So if you are going to use a Dremel with flex arm attachment you'll probably break it since its to tight to get in for long period of time. Get yourself a right angle attachment. How I've got to replace my friends tools. ![]() I really want to put together a new thread once I have everything complete, who knows when that will be as Murphy keeps kicking me in the nuts! Cheers, Sam |

@Dezoris I'm looking to do the same setup as you but I'm really lost on the tablet mount. Can you share any more info/pics on the actual tablet mount?

Mine is pinned into the bezel by the head unit bracket behind, very simple. I will get more pics tomorrow.

Can you post pictures on how you powered the inverter in the glove box? Or describe how to power it?
