What's the proper torque for the lug nuts (and how much is a good torque wrench)?
90lbs is the torque for the lugs.

Depends on your budget. But I would say for a cheap one $40. For a good one $100 - $150.

I wound up getting the Brownline Digital from Amazon and like it. ($100)

The fact that you only hear it loading and unloading I would start with lugs. From there is you have a jack check the suspesion bolts make sure all is tight.

Ok, the sound is becoming more consistent. It happens when I brake hard (like 75% of the brake pedal down), and when I turn. I'm fairly certain this isn't the engine or injectors because it doesn't go off on idle or revving while stopped. Could it be the rubber ends of the sway/strut bars? My tC2 developed a similar problem before, altough more rubber-sounding.

HOLY BLEEP!

I'm right. There is something dangling in the engine bay. For the first time, 3M Heavy Duty double-sided tape has failed me! My poor HID ballast had been bumping the inside of the front bumpers since yesterday!

PROBLEM SOLVED! Thanks for everyone's concern!
