yeah im thinking of doing mine red or just get after market ones.. i see your light has that matt like finish and not a shiny red candy like.. thats what im going for.. people do spray it with clear coat after 3/4 coats of red VHT.. still thinking if i should do it.. dont want to screw it up.. this can be redone or permeant?

I'm not sure what you mean, I can see my face in them when there isn't a light mist on them, the final step was with plastic polish. I sprayed till they were darker than I wanted(so I had extra thickness), then I wet sanded with 800 grit down to 2500(I think), then I went to a heavy(red) buffing compound, then to a light compound, cleaner wax, finally plastic polish. I will remove it with mineral spirits or paint thinner when I'm ready to redo it with the Metalcast red and Spray Max clear coat I have.

I knew what you meant when you said a matte finish, mine are really shiny(or glossy if you will) they are just a lot darker than most people spray them. They just had some condensation on the from the temperature dropping.

a 5000k HID kit, LED turns (non switchback), and center console insert plaque thing should arrive in the mail today. Pics if everything gets installed to my satisfaction.

LOL! seriously right? I feel like once they get their license, they just disregard everything they learned. shame! Thank you, I just heard that I'll be getting her back on the 25th, so basically I'll be without her for a month! I'm actually waiting for my catback exhaust. Once that comes in, ill bring it to the repair shop and ask them to install it for me. Kinda want to do it myself though. haha

Not sure what you're currently using, but a few weeks ago I ordered the sampler kit from Adam's Polishes. I've heard great things about their products so I decided to check it out and I've loved everything I've used so far.
