I'm home for break, so I dont have access to a gym and its not worth it to pay for for a month membership right now :/ Just gotta get the ball moving and fall into a schedule once I get back.

The other thing I have trouble with is weight... I have such a fast metabolism, its hard for me to gain body weight. I'll move up in reps/weights, but won't have much physical gains... I'm 5'7" and 130. For my weight, I'd consider myself above average strength, especially since I know how to back a punch, but for my height I'm weak. Same for combined height/weight. I am thin, dont get me wrong, but if I never lifted weights or boxed, I'd most likely weigh even less and be more of a stick haha...... Something else I've been struggling with.

That's funny that you mention your height and weight because I am also exactly the same. That is the reason why I start working out a few months ago. I was 5 '7' 115 lbs, now I am at 130 lbs. My best advice to you is eat 5-6 small meals a day, don't eat too much carbs, and eat lots of chicken. Drinking plenty or water and sleeping early is also helpful. I am trying to do this starting tomorrow because I had a great conversation with a pharmacist today about working out and that was his advice to me. He also said don't waste money on vitamins and protein supplements unless you really want to use it.

Do not be discouraged. I, too, had a very fast metabolism and my height/weight was very similar before I routinely started going to the gym. Fast forward 10 years later, I still have a much harder time bulking up than losing weight, but I have since gained 25 pounds of muscle and look/feel much better. Keep at it and do not stop or take a break no matter what.

Quick question guys. Found this thread to be what I was about to start...

Anyone try a cheap otc supplement like Hydroxicut? Im bouncing in my weight. Lose 5 gain 5. Etc... Looking to add a cheap supplement to my routine. Perhaps 3-4 days a week. Also, on 1350 low carb diet and Garcinia Borigna pills to settle down those munchie cravings. Walk 3-5 mies a day and workout 15-45min twice a day on soft cardio. I cant do more unfortunately.

don't waste your time with that crap. eat good in a way that you can maintain for years to come. "diets" and pills are temporary and so are the results from them.

Used to be able to run forever 5 years ago. Started school in 2012 and entered the job force last year. Now, I can barely walk up a few flight of stairs without breathing heavy. At least when I was still in school, I had some time to walk from house, bus stop, school. Since getting the car, haven't done much exercise. Also doesn't help that I work in IT and sit on my ass for 12 hours/night.

Still no excuse though. We have a "gym" (treadmill, basic dumbells and bench). Been sporadically speedwalking on the treadmill in order to get my stamina back...

My old roommate gave me some Hydroxycut (he swears by it) before a workout one time. That shit will definitely shed the weight, but no way in hell that it's safe lol... It's like mixing 5-hour energy with rabies, you get amped beyond belief, your core-temp raises to get you sweating, and if you don't do something like working out to channel the surge you get you will literally go insane. Used it for about a week and saw serious results, but it was also seriously scary to use.

I know its not healthy. But, thanks for the concerns brothers.

I also understand that the first step to losing weight is acknowledging you didnt gain it overnight, so dont expect to lose it that same way. Took 2.5yrs for me to oink myself up. So, hoping itll take the same to drop approx 50lbs. Sitting at 236, hoping to go down to 180 as a target weight.

Hydroxycut will also bounce you back up from what I read if you go back to old routine.

I have trouble commiting to a 3 month routine. Maybe if I saw bigger changes, i would push myself to go another 3 months. Thats the reason im looking at this OTC product.

Its funny though. I dropped 1/3 pant size but still weigh the same and look the same imo. I wonder if my pants just stretched hahaha

Anyone have a workout routine theyve tried themselves thats worked their belly down? I want to shave a few belly lbs. When I wear a shirt and tie, my belly pulls shirt out. Makes me look like a fat Mexican Jack Black/Chris Farley.
