Scion FR-S & Subaru BRZ have been recalled for owners manual

So I've searched all over the forum and I haven't seen anyone post about this...That both the Scion FR-S & Subaru BRZ have been recalled!!!

"It is not because of any mechanical or safety issues. The two car companies are recalling the automobiles because of a misprint in the owner’s manual. The recall will affect about 1156 Scion FR-S cars and about 1600 Subaru BRZ cars will be affected. The problem in the owner’s manual has to do with an improper description of the passenger airbag. Exactly, what is improperly described is unknown"

Has anyone been told they have to turn their car in? or have heard from the dealerships about this issue? or have any other detailed info?:thumb down:

There are a many sources out there that have confirmed this, this is where I quoted mine from: http://www.slashgear.com/toyota-and-...ials-11233106/

This has been discussed already

VIN of cars affected (FR-S)

JF1ZNAA1 1700031 to 1703395

JF1ZNAA1 2700032 to 2703396

If you have your car already the dealer will not ask you to take back the car.

They will mail you a packet that contains the revised owner's manual insert, page stickers, and installlation instructions.

Packets will be mailed in mid june

I got my FRS on the 8th, and they had already pasted all the new pages in to my manual.

I hope this isn't the case. I'm wondering if they are being "held" or if your dealership is pulling your leg

Holding your car because of the owner's manual? That is really odd. My dealer just gave me the newer printing of the manual (along with the old one) with my BRZ. No stick on pages.

Yep... I confirmed this too.

Mine is at the Port in Long Beach since 6/6. Got confirmation that it will process / ship now on 6/20. So I should have it by 6/22 ideally... if nothing else fails.
