Thanks i fixed everything in post 1. Both links work now.

Yes Rob owns and operates his own heavy duty machine shop in Calgary which is his bread and butter.

Now that spring is here we should see more shipments but everything is dependent on when he gets things in. If one part doesnt show up on time everything is slowed down. Many of the things that are required have 6 - 8 week lead time minimum.

Typically from my experience as a mechanical engineer a larger batch is more efficient which is more $$ for Rob. All we ask is like a 50 kit batch . Is he afraid of the inventory not selling?

Just based on my experience with Rob. (Not necessarily the actual reason.) Rob is constantly tinkering with the kit and making it better. The reason in the past he has not ordered a large amount of parts was due to the fact that the system was constantly evolving.

As of this moment I believe the partial boost phantom is as close (without a procede controller) to "retail" as you can get. And it's the reason why several kits have been shipped in the past four months compared to the previous year.

Give it time. It's worth it. Rob is a perfectionist and it's worth his effort to make sure you get a solid kit.

My experience as a Phantom owner says that anyone that has rode in my car has been absolutely floored at how Rob's ESC changes the car for so little money. Also, 60 person waiting list on basically just word of mouth. I'd say Rob has every reason to be totally confident.

This! Don't think he is worried about them not selling just has other priorities and doesn't focus every waking moment on producing these kits. Yes it would be ideal from a consumer stand point to have a ton sent out at once but clearly Rob isn't wanting/doesn't have the time or man power to do that at least yet. If you're patient the kit is most definitely worth it...if you don't want to wait well then maybe this isnt for you.

I agree with Sojhinn. Rob has been following up on my kit and probably many others asking about our experiences. When I had problems with my kit he took it back and investigated/fix it and shipped it back to me free of charge. He's definitely trying to learn and improve the product and is getting closer to "full proof". There has been a few problems with kits (from day one to even the newest batch) that he has fixed and there are only 30 or so kits out there. So assuming a 10% rate of something going wrong in the kit, whether defect or bad user installation, if he released a bunch right now he would have to deal with more issues which would slow down the development.

IMO the ESC is at a "release candidate" state almost ready for growth but if you have been following the kit from day 1 it's easy to see why he doesn't start selling them like hot cakes.

I love the fact that you added (Europe). Ah yes some of us yanks can't tell the difference. But once you get your kit you would be the first in Belgium with it. Which is really fricking cool.

Haha, I know it wasn't intended as an insult. I just found it awesome. I teach academic league (along with physics and digital media) and I have to get my students to know the locations and the capitals of all the countries. A nice side effect is that I learn them too.
