I am running the standard 1.5 dump tune but it is far from ideal....im not pulling timing or anything but i think some fine tuning is going to really open it up. I'm hoping we can get some dyno time soon and if Shiv@Openflash is available i would love to get him to remote tune it. Im sure he will get one as well in the future to test out and tune. There probably wont be a crazy difference in the tune....just really dialing it in probably. |

I know the price is unknown as of yet, I was just curious about the driving impression. I am guessing it will flow between 1.5 to 2psi higher at low rpm, and it looks like about 1psi higher at redline. But are you sacrificing responsiveness, or anything like that?
wouldn't the aux charger still just double the speed of the recharge? I would guess the larger motor/controller would deplete the batteries much quicker, But I think it was said that the 1.0 dump tq250 would last about 2 minutes. So I would think you could still get at the very least 30 seconds before needing a recharge. Or is the extra power management necessary with the larger motor/controller? Basically I wonder if It is absolutely necessary to have the aux charger? as for the 1.5, I think pretty much everyone has opted for the upgrade, and I have already built my 2.0 setup, so I don't think that will be a factor. either way it's cool, I am glad to see advancements are still being made. Maybe by next year we will see a version of the Phantom hit the mythical 250hp mark.

Damn. Very exciting news. I'm not sure I would be willing to swap my setup though if it requires me to replace everything. After buying a brand new home with unfinished yard and everything, I've gotta lay low for awhile and get my property up to speed. Appreciating investments first haha.
Maybe if Rob can come up with a swap and replace upgrade pricing I'll jump in. Looks incredible!

This is all very good news and am happy that this product is still developing so rapidly. Two different versions on offer for people to suit their needs and price points. Rob is working wonders and this community is very spoilt to be part of this evolution of alternative forced induction!

I think this explains why Rob was reluctant to go into mass production of the original unit. He is constantly improving it.

3 psi at red line is impressive.
While more is always better, the TQ250 does everything I need.

Yeah, if not all the guys on TQ250 would end up paying more than 4k by the time they upgrade to TQ300, and closer to 5k once you add aux charger+1.5+ tuning device + tune (if other than OFT) + batteries.

20 miles after flashing to the E86 tune. http://www.datazap.me/u/tm/ots-esc-w15x-dump-v201b-e85 Also, for you E86 guys, what engine oil are you running on?

With how much demand there is for this product, I'm sure it won't be that hard to offload the TQ250 for a decent price.

Fair call but may not be the case when TQ300 is available, but let's say it is the case, you may get back 1k to 1.3k as an estimate so 3.7k to 4k if you take the upgrade path.

I'm no pro -- but that looks pretty good to me. Will probably look even better on your next tank. I'm still running 0w20 oil -- has any on E85 switched away from it?

This is true and yes it does suck. However that's a risk we all take as early adopters of the system
