Yeah, 30 lbs is pretty close to the vortech kit weight. I think your estimates might be off by a smidge. Could be wrong though.

Video's are uploading. Because it is Canada day weekend things aren't very brisk in the video*(traffic), i was able to rip a couple times but it was very HOT 32C(90F).

The thing with this system is once the battery warms up it gets better and better, the system still wasnt even up to optimal temp when i took the video's.

Does the motor controller include a variable speed control input? If so, I think this thing plus a Unichip controlling that boost according to throttle position could be a match made in heaven. I would like proportional boost to throttle, starting at say 30% throttle and 2000rpm that then ramps up to provide a modest 15% bump in torque over N/A across the range. This could make for a very nice smooth torque curve, very driveable and eliminate the torque dip at the same time. Another added benefit is less power draw from this thing unless you are winding the engine up.
@Unichip Jack, is the Unichip cabable of proportional outputs linked to RPM and TPS?

So what's your and Phantom's development plan going forward?

What's left before they can begin packaging these kits together and selling them? More tuning, more compressor revisions for that extra 1psi up top?

I'm assuming that a EcuTek or BRZ Edit tune will be REQUIRED to run the electrocharger safely based on your results exceeding load limits and MAP limits on the stock ECU tune?

I'm really hoping this will be done right and sold as complete plug and play solution and not fall apart and become a one-off type of thing or a DIY with no support.

That's a good point and one I didn't mention in my above post. I was thinking that by limiting peak boost to something more manageable you could stay within those factory load limits and MAF scaling. Any know if this seem plausible? Ultimately a proper tune via BRZedit or Ecutek is the way to go here but I'd like to see if this can be done safely without.

The AFRs are very safe stock but if you go wot and get 5psi the sensor causes a cel. It still drives fine and after a couple cycles it even goes away.

We will be using brz edit this week it the hopes if creating a canned tune for this application.

Oh and once Bu_tang and i meet up this weekend we will get a accurate gauge on the increased performance at the same altitude.

I wouldnt be suprised if all the e85 guys in the states are still faster with lower altitude. Hey at least i dont live in Denver but it feels that way sometimes, everything is so much slower up here
