I think it's neat, actually. Part of the fun of owning the 86 is making it ours, something Toyota highly encourages in Japan. The Scion badges are interesting and different to them, the same way the Toyota badges are to us.

But someone already said it, it's not stupid or weird. They (Japanese) want what they don't have. Where we want to return our vehicles to there intended glory, they want to be different. Makes sense.

Growing up in SoCal and seeing the Lowrider movement in Japan spread like wildfire is hilarious to me. So seeing a JDM GT86 converted to a FR-S doesn't surprise me one bit.

But honestly, I like USDM tail lights better than JDM.
