They help those who aren't careful mount the wheels correctly to eliminate vibrations. I run them on some wheels and don't on others, but it's out of laziness not a perceived benefit.

Nope. Getting ready to but I haven't even posted it for sale yet. If it didn't cost as much to insure as any two of my other cars combined I'd maybe keep it even though I never drive the thing. 4k miles in 1.5 years... 25k miles in 1.5 years before that

<30k miles in three years is not bad mileage at all. Hopefully when you do list it, it goes quickly. |

Ok so from reading the whole thread this is what I got out of it.
The only real reason for getting hub centric rings is if don't have studs in your hub. Our cars have studs therefore we don't need the rings. On my Jetta I had to bolt my rims on because my hub just had holes to bolt the rims into. I'm hoping this is correct??? |

Edit: You might want to add: If you have alloy wheels that use shank style lug nuts, hub centricity helps. You'd be amazed at how easy it is to screw up installing shank-style lugs when the "wheel tech" abuses/misuses an air-impact gun... |

Hi guys. I've just put together a video explaining exactly how this works. The answer depends on the type of wheels you have....
