Hope this is the right section to post this..

Any suggestion from you experts to improve my driving at the track?

This was my first time out at the track with the new wheels and tires. I felt like whenever I pushed the car a little too much, it was about to "snap". I should push more and counter that "snap" to go faster, correct?

Thank you guys!

^ Use more of the track. You leave a lot of room when you miss the apex by 5+ feet, and don't use the full track out on every turn.

Why are open ended lug nuts better than closed?

They're not "better", but they're more flexible in allowing for varying spacers with extended studs.

They do let water in between threads, but they also allow for release sprays to get in as well.

I did a track day this past weekend and I noticed that on a particular corner almost every lap the car would flash one of the dash lights. I don't think it was one of the two traction/stability lights (although it could have been the slip light), and I didn't feel the car intervening at all. This doesn't seem like the issue that is fixed with the pedal dance because as I said, a light flashes rather quickly, it doesn't stay solid. Anyone else experience this?

I was running with all aids off (three second press, not pedal dance).

Was great seeing you out there Josh!

Which corner was it? I got it in turn 11(?) last 180 before the pit exit and start/finish.

That's the electronic diff kicking in. Do the pedal dance. Otherwise the bacon may narwhal at noon.

Correct, everything is disabled except the ABS.
Thanks for the explanation of the root cause.

But.... what Is Ice-Mode, and what does it do exactly??

I keep reading/hearing about it ..but idk what it even does, or what happens when it activates, lol.

The car basically reduces braking force to something like 30%, to prevent skidding on ice. It boils down to you won't slow down like you normally will.

Woah...sounds very dangerous indeed.

Starting to hate these electronic aids the more and more I read about them, lol.

Hopefully someday soon, someone will make a device or tune that will completely and permanently disable all aids, tc, vsc, ice mode, etc...leaving you with a fully analog rwd drivetrain (sans abs).
