So as a bit of a follow up to my brake "issue" from a few pages ago

I'll have to drive on them a bit and see if they clear up (3.5 hour drive home (all highway) then drove to work this morning, so not much use). I don't have any track events planned for the rest of this year, so they'll live through winter anyway.

I'm really thinking I'd be better off with XP12s all around and titanium brake shims at a minimum. I'm hoping that with stickier tires I can compress the braking zones and prevent this issue. I'll likely do the AP kit late next year or 2017 if I plan on continued track use. I don't feel like dealing with these stupid issues forever

That'll depend on the person, but I'd say it's about 50/50.

Stickier tires will compound this issue by dissipating that kinetic energy in a shorter amount of time (aka a larger heat impulse).

Get the BBK before getting the stickier tires, and upgrade the pads before doing either.

would my ride height be any issues with the apex at that track? i went

I don't see you running into any issues, especially since you've been to AutoClub. AutoClub has the roval and the damn rumble strip/curbs on the infield can be pretty gnarly. But, your car would probably perform better if it's not "dumped". Enjoy! I wish I could make it out.

Unfortunately the BBK isn't in the cards this year. I'll probably just have to keep using the Prius tires on track then. At least they seem to wear like iron compared to my planned RE71Rs for autocross, lol.

Hmm thinking of getting rid of my shity BC br racing, and get something in the 2000$ range.
I know I can get a really good price on KW club sport bak home her in Sweden, but I am not sure if I want to go there?
What about say Tein mono flex or RS-R club racer?
Running Yokohama AD08R for next season in 235 or 245 17"
So not running r-tires next year I deer, do i don't have the money to go up a class, and build a motor also, feels dumb running low power, when the rules says 420hp on rwd, and I wouldn't stand a chance.
So which suspension would you recommend, that I easily could adjust to semi slicks and FI for 2017?
Will adjust and buy appropriate sway bars also!!
Or is it a better choice for the 2000$ range

I'm curious whether there is a specific issue with the suspension dynamics that makes you feel the BC coils are "shitty" or is it just common perception shared by others about a cheap brand? Element Tuning runs there higher end coils pretty successfully and Jon Miller was pretty damn fast when he owned an FRS with the base version. I'd agree they leave a lot to be desired on public roads but mine work very well on the track. Just wish they were valved for a 10/12 setup.

for 2k USD you are pretty close to MCA Reds. May cost a little to ship but they are Excellent. Hell they ran Reds on their Time Attack car and finished 2nd in a S13. The Evo that won had their suspension in it too.
