Thanks! I actually have access to a wide range of parts thanks to good friends in the industry, however there are parts that you offer that I don't have "access" to. You have definitely earned that business. I look forward to supporting you, and the support that you offer. Hope to meet y'all at the track some day.

I am working on trail braking at the track. My instructor, who also drives a BRZ, noted that my car was significantly more difficult to turn under braking compared to his. I always thought the effort was high but had no basis for comparison.

Any thoughts?

Setup: RCE Tarmac2, RaceSeng Cam/Cas plates, SPL rear LCA and toe arms, RaceSeng 1" rear shock mounts. -2.9 and -2.3 camber F/R, 0 toe all the way around, maximum caster the RaceSeng plates allow. No other suspension mods. Approximately 1" lowered.

Tarmac 2's are heavily understeer biased with the default springs.

I'm gonna bet your instructor is stock, or has something closer to neutral.

The instructor has Ground Control coilovers with 450lb springs. He didn't note any other issues with the setup.

Any suggestions other than replacing the Tarmac2s?

softer front springs, rear sway bar, tweaking the setup.

Im debating on which tire to pick out for my track wheels, Im going to be running a 18x9.5 +40 setup and I brought my tire choices down to two finalist. The Hankook RS-3 V.2 or Toyo Proxies R1R, has anyone had experience with these two tires? Im debating on either a 255/35R18 (Square all around) or 265/35R18 (Square all around) but i'm thinking a 265 size would be over kill on this car. Also my car is now running forced induction and will be getting a AP Racing sprint kit soon. Im just wondering which would be a good track tire, that will provide excellent grip for those autocross/track days? Thank you in advance.

It's me again. RE71Rs (225/45/17) just showed up and I need some advice on breaking them in. I will be making the 420 mile (one way) trip to Willow Springs next month. Should I:
A) Drive on them to the track?
B) Wait until I get to the track and break them in there? If so, how do you guys recommend I do so?

I'd break them in on the way there

@ScionOfHorus that is what I usually do, however I am completely new to this tire and didn't know if there is anything special about the compound.

They're street tires. Other than getting past the release compound (which you will do the first couple corners), there's no break-in procedure.

Whether you drive up on them, or change at the track, is up to you and how lazy you feel
