Harnesses get a manufacturing/certification date, usually by FIA or SFI. It's up to the organization you're driving with to determine lifespan, but I think 3-5 years is common.

Unless you've got a fully caged, fixed-seat, track-only car, you shouldn't even be worrying about harnesses. They're generally part of an all-or-nothing safety system including cage, helmet, HANS, seat, etc.

If you're having trouble staying secure in your seat, try getting a CG-lock or the simple trick of pulling your seatbelt out all the way so it locks, then pulling it tight across your lap.

Yes. That's normal heat checking. If they don't catch a fingernail then they aren't an issue. They are probably getting close to finished, but it's hard to say when. That's why I always have spares with me at the track.

I'm going to agree with his suggestions!

Yes, but keep an eye on them with spares at the track.

That's normal heat checking as mentioned above, and it's also a sign that you're getting quicker!

As soon as a crack touches an edge, you need to replace the rotor immediately, and you'll also feel it in your brake pedal.

Alignment

I would like a daily driver alignment, but aggressive as I live in East TN and every road is curvy. I also AX, and am going to Track Night in America at AMP in GA.

In short, a performance oriented alignment that wont wear out my tires in 10k miles.

Suggestions?

Well, an "aggressive daily alignment" is a track alignment.... so is tire life or maximum grip more important to you?

I'd really like a balance of the two, leaning towards performance as primary concern.

My opinion... Tires are cheap compared to an incident of any kind. Get the track alignment and tires you can flip.

I had even wear with -3f/-2.5r camber on Michelin PSS driven primarily on the street with a couple of AX events (.5 mile track with curves, about 1.5 hrs run time each) and one wet track day. Just replaced them with new at 4/32 tread. No burnouts, zero toe front and rear, fun but safe speed in corners on street.

You can run a fair amount of camber with zero toe and be ok unless you're only driving on the highway.
