Ok so I mounted the rims/tires. Ended up going with 235/40/18.
Again, this is on stock suspension consisting of just TRD springs. I plan to add camber bolts and will most likely pick up my ST coilovers within the next couple months. So far no rubbing of any kind but that's with normal driving. I'll try driving hard another time and update you. I normally don't drive hard anyway so I don't forsee any issues. I wanna get the ST's only because my OCD is killing me seeing the poke in the front and the slight poke in the rear. The pics make it look way worse than it really is. Front (slight turn in the wheel but still gives you an idea) ![]() Rear ![]() This is the front but it was raised on the lift so it's a little deceiving. doesn't poke out this much. I'll take better pics later cuz it's damn hot outside lol ![]() Doesn't look too bad on the TRD springs...I definitely want the front to be lower but I'll probably just stick to the TRD springs for now since I'm not having any rubbing issues

Looks amazing! DAYMN. ^
EDIT: @Crazypinoy9, Get some LCAs, and some whiteline camber bolts and a good alignment. Then re-evaluate if you really need coilovers. Last edited by Koa; 03-22-2015 at 03:04 PM. |

Do you track much? If so, the SPL lca's are second to none because they have the most adjustability for sways.. Personally, I love the Racer-X fab line and their LCAs are pure gold. I highly recommend them. They're also just releasing their Version 3 LCA's which will have multiple sway mounting locations

I honestly won't be putting much track time in. At least not with this car. This is my DD so I'll probably just keep it at that. Although I have been eyeing the SPL lca's because I've heard many great things.

how do you like the ST coils? I have the Enza Vatore wheels, same size and fitment as your Vordovens on stock height and would like to lower the car and fix the front bc its poking out too much for my taste. Was either looking at ST or BC coils.

No fender work was done. Although, even though I don't have any issues with rubbing I still plan to have the fenders rolled and pulled in the near future to make the poke much more minimal. TBH i really don't remember the exact drop on the TRD springs. it's about an inch or so.

In regards to tires, I got Nitto Motivos. Mainly because I plan to do ZERO track time which means it's only a daily so I didn't need any performance tires. Why spend the extra money if I really didn't need to ya know? FWIW Im very happy with the Motivos right now. super quiet, 60k tread warranty... not bad for $120/tire

Firstly the OP first pic is absolute GOLD, looks the goods but it has way too much poke & negative camber for me, especially as a DD that sees much freeway.
Curious about the weight on them 18x9.5" Kiwami ripoffs ? Silver still looks great on a car. My old gen7 celica had springs not unlike the sportline that were 1.5" drop on stock oem struts that lasted 95K miles before I insisted they be re-built, although again my car sees much freeway travel so an easy life you could say. |
